Italian Serie A
Serie A Betting Tips for Friday 23rd May

The Serie A title all comes down to the final game of the season, with just one point separating Napoli and Inter, the two games will kick-off simultaneously with the Scudetto set to be decided on Friday evening.
What a night of drama we could potentially have on Friday evening in Italy, these two games have been brought forward for a few reasons, one of which is due to Inter Milan’s participation in the UEFA Champions League final, whilst another reason is due to the fact that if both Napoli and Inter finish on the same points, given the fact both of their meetings this season ended in a 1-1 draw, there would be a one-off game between the two sides for the Scudetto.
Both sides will go all out to get the job done on Friday evening though, with Inter travelling to Como and Napoli welcoming Cagliari to the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, let the fun begin.

Now, let’s take a closer look at some football betting angles for Friday’s Serie A fixtures:
Como v Inter Milan – Friday, 7.45pm
- Como themselves have defied the Serie A betting odds this season as they have guaranteed themselves tenth place in the Italian top-flight no matter the result in this one, after their return to Serie A.
- Cesc Fabregas’ side are unbeaten in their last eight games now, with victories coming in six of those and with their last defeat on home soil coming back in February against Juventus, impressive from the Lariani.
- Another impressive stat is the Como have scored at least one goal in all but one of their eighteen league games so far on home soil and despite losing 2-1 here against Milan, Atalanta and Juventus, they did beat Inter’s title rivals Napoli by the same scoreline.
——————————– - Inter squandered a chance of coming into this fixture as the league leaders after a 2-2 draw with Lazio on Sunday evening but instead they now face Como needing all three points and hoping Napoli fail to beat Cagliari if they are to win the title on Friday.
- Of course, Inter have the UEFA Champions League final to look forward to when they take on Barcelona in Munich but feel like this is definitely one that got away following their poor run of form during just one week in April, with three defeats in all competitions, two of which came in Serie A.
- The good news for I Nerazzurri though is that they won the reverse fixture 2-0 back in December and have won seven of their last eight fixtures taking place on the final day of the season, a very good omen.
Prediction: Both Teams To Score & Inter To Win, Como 1-2 Inter Milan.
Napoli v Cagliari – Friday, 7.45pm
- Napoli wouldn’t have been favourites to take the title at the start of the season but they have a chance here to defy the Serie A odds and claim just their fourth title in the Italian top-flight, with Naples ready to party.
- Antonio Conte’s side looked liked they gave up their Scudetto hopes on Sunday evening after only managing a goalless draw away to Parma but luckily for them, they remain top of the league prior to Friday’s fixture after Inter could only manage a stalemate themselves.
- There’s several scenarios in which Napoli could claim the title on Friday but simply a win would take away any doubts here, and they should be confident of taking all three points here, not only did they win the reverse fixture 4-0 back in September, they’ve also not lost to Cagliari in their last eight meetings, since 2019.
——————————– - Following a 3-0 victory against struggling Venezia on Sunday, Davide Nicola’s side confirmed their safety and will play in the Italian top-flight for the third season in a row, meaning they travel to Naples with no pressure on this one.
- Given what’s at stake in this one, this looks to be a tough ask for the Sardinians especially away from home, where they’ve won just three of their eighteen league away trips so far, whilst they’ve won just once away to Napoli in their last fourteen attempts.
- I think we’ll see a fairly convincing result for Napoli in this one just given what they are playing for and their record against this Cagliari side, the Blues have also not lost in any of their last five final games of a campaign.
Prediction: Napoli To Win To Nil, Napoli 2-0 Cagliari.
