Tour De France 2025 Predictions
As the 2025 Tour de France approaches, anticipation builds around who will don the coveted yellow jersey in Paris.
The race looks set to be a battle of the ages between the world’s elite cyclists and we take a look at some of the leading chances here.
Bet on the 2025 Tour de France
Tadej Pogačar – 4/9
Tadej Pogačar is one of the most dominant cyclists of his generation and, as of 2025, he has firmly established himself among the all-time greats of the sport. The Slovenian UAE Team Emirates rider arrives to the 2025 Tour as the overwhelming favourite. He’s priced at 4/9 and it isn’t difficult to see why.
One of the most well-rounded riders we’ve ever seen, Pogačar’s versatility has been the main driver behind his success. He can climb with the best in the mountains, a skill that will be needed for the Tour de France, as well as having the sprinting ability to catch rivals off guard and close the gap where he needs to.
His consistency and strategic mind in races are also something that sets him apart. He competes, and wins, throughout the calendar.
He had a 2024 season to remember, winning the Giro d’Italia, Tour de France and World Championships – a historic feat. Aged just 25, there’s no reason to believe we won’t see similar results for years to come. It’s tough to see past him repeating last year’s triumph.
Matteo Jorgenson – 33/1
Matteo Jorgenson is a cyclist worth considering at a nice price of 33/1. He finished eighth in last year’s Tour de France but looks a bit of a dark horse entering this year’s competition.
He is particularly proficient in breakaway riding and strong climbing, an aspect that is important in the Tour and it could see him surprise a few this time around. He possesses the talent to go close here. There’s definitely value in the each-way part of the bet, with Pogačar such a short favourite. He could well end up sneaking into the 3 places available with William Hill this year.
Simon Yates – 100/1
Due to such a short-priced favourite in Pogačar, there are some big prices on offer if looking further down the market. One of those being the recent winner of the Giro D’Italia, Simon Yates.
It’s rare that you see a Giro D’Italia winner at such a big price going into the Tour de France, especially the way he won the race. A display of tactical nous, resilience and brilliant riding saw him capture a triumphant victory and he couldn’t have had a better preparation leading into the big one. He’s won multiple stages on the Tour de France in his career, hopefully he can continue what has been a successful start to 2025.
His explosive climbing ability in the mountains will be a real asset this time around, with many stages in the Tour de France placing a focus on that side of things. We have seen him make decisive movements in steep ascents which have caught his opponents off guard, and this only strengthens his chances this time around. He could outrun (cycle) his odds!
