Saturday sees another day packed with UEFA World Cup qualifiers, featuring Thomas Tuchel’s England against Andorra at 5pm. The Netherlands, Serbia, and Austria are also among the teams in action.

Those interested in live betting are spoilt for choice this weekend. This block of international fixtures might be coming at a time when players are tired after a long season, but that might only lead to more value opportunities.

Some teams have already kicked off their World Cup qualifying campaigns. Others are just getting stuck into it as they try to book their places in next summer’s tournament in the USA, Canada, and Mexico.

Let’s take a look at the best football betting options:

Andorra vs England, Saturday 5pm

  • England beat Albania 2-0 and Latvia 3-0 in March. With six points on the board, Tuchel’s team have a three-point lead atop Group K.
  • Andorra lost both of their matches in the first round of fixtures without scoring.
  • The hosts beat San Marino in October. It was their first victory in any competition since 2022.
  • England won 4-0 and 5-0 when they face Andorra in World Cup qualifiers in 2021. They have an aggregate lead of 15-0 across the last three meetings.
  • Trevoh Chalobah could make his England debut. Marcus Rashford, Phil Foden, and Jarrod Bowen have been left out.
  • Bukayo Saka scored in both of the previous meeting. The Arsenal forward is expected to start on the right flank.
  • England should win this without breaking sweat and move to three wins from three in the group. Bigger tests are to come for Tuchel’s Three Lions.

Prediction: England -3 (4/5), Saka to score anytime (19/20). Andorra 0-4 England.

Finland vs Netherlands, Saturday 7:45pm

  • A penalty shootout defeat to Spain saw the Netherlands knocked out of the Nations League in March. Their World Cup qualifying campaign begins this Saturday.
  • After losing all six of their Nations League matches, Finland beat Malta and drew with Lithuania in the last international break.
  • Finland have never qualified for the World Cup. They are without veteran midfield pair Roman Eremenko and Rasmus Schuller.
  • Teun Koopmeiners, Matthijs de Ligt, and Ian Maatsen have been left out of the Netherlands squad. Ten Premier League players have been included.
  • This is a mismatch. Finland have lost their four previous matches against the Oranje.

Prediction: Netherlands -1.5 (19/20). Finland 0-2 Netherlands.

Albania vs Serbia, Saturday 7:45pm

  • Albania started their qualifying campaign with a 3-0 win over Andorra and a 2-0 defeat to England.
  • Serbia, who sat out the first round of qualifying matches to compete in the Nations League playoff, are the favourites behind England to progress from Group K.
  • Euro 2024 was the first time Serbia have qualified for the European Championships since 2000.
  • Albania have never qualified for the World Cup, but they appeared in the group stage of Euro 2016 and Euro 2024.
  • This is one of the fiercest rivalries in world sport. They have only played each other twice previously, with one win apiece.
  • Albania’s main fan group have not been allocated tickets for this match due to fears over fan violence.
  • Serbia are the clear betting favourites at 6/5. The away team have only won two of their last 11 matches but have also only suffered three defeats across that period.
  • Albania won two out of six matches in the 2024/25 Nations League.

Prediction: Serbia to win to nil (23/10). Albania 0-2 Serbia.

Austria vs Romania, Saturday 7:45pm

  • Romania have three points from their first two matches in Group H thanks to a 5-1 win over San Marino. They are already three points behind Bosnia and Herzegovina.
  • This is the first match of Austria’s qualifying campaign. They faced Serbia in a Nations League promotion/relegation playoff during the last international break which they lost on aggregate.
  • The away team won the two previous meetings (during the Nations League in 2020).
  • Austria are without key midfielder Marcel Sabitzer through injury. The majority of their squad plays in Europe’s top five leagues, while Romania’s squad are predominantly playing in their home country.
  • Prior to draws with Slovenia and Serbia, Austria had won their last two home matches emphatically with a 4-0 win over Kazakhstan and a 5-1 victory over Norway.
  • Defeat to Bosnia and Herzegovina in March was Romania’s first loss since being knocked out of the Euros in the round of 16.
  • Austria are the better team on paper, but Romania are playing with confidence and can get a result in Vienna.

Prediction: Match to end in a draw (7/2) or Romania win/Draw (2/1). Austria 1-1 Romania.
