Betting has officially been suspended in the ‘To Play a Secret Set at Glastonbury 2025’ market after a flurry of bets for acts Pulp and Lorde ahead of this summer’s Festival.

The latest betting markets pre-suspension had Pulp at 1/2 (from Evens) and Lorde at Evens (from 3/1), though there has been no official confirmation at this stage.

Britpop rockets Pulp headlined the Pyramid Stage some 30 years ago while they also performed a secret set in 2011. The band have recently released their first album in 24 years and they have a perfect gap in their tour schedule. However, the band’s spokesman recently said in a statement that ‘Patchwork’ – an unknown band on the official Festival line up – is not linked to Pulp.

Meanwhile, Lorde told BBC Radio 2’s Jo Whiley in an interview earlier this week that she is “pretty keen” to play at Glastonbury 2025.

She said: “The album’s gonna be coming out right around that time. I am quite tempted by what’s going on because I’ve got lots of friends playing as well. We’ll see if I can pull some strings and get there.”

With only a matter of weeks until music lovers descend on Somerset, we haven’t got long to wait until the 2025 secret Glastonbury artists are unveiled.

Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “There’s always plenty of speculation about which famous acts could be lined up to play secret sets at Glastonbury and we’ve had to suspend our market shortly after it opened having seen good money for two acts.

“Punters appear to strongly fancy Pulp to make their first live appearance since 2013 at Glastonbury this year, and Jarvis Cocker’s band was backed into 1/2 from even-money before betting was suspended. Similarly, we saw a run of ‘smart money’ for Lorde, with the New Zealand singer shortening into even-money having opened at 3/1.”
