The exact start date for Casa Amor in Love Island 2025 is unknown at this stage but it’s usually three or four weeks into the series and whispers online suggest that it could take place around 3rd – 5th July.

Typically, Casa takes place at the midway stage of the Love Island series. The aim of Casa Amor is to test the Islanders and their loyalty to their current partners.

The twist generally lasts between three and four days before the Casa Amor recoupling ceremony takes place. The Islanders are given two options – to stick with their original partner or to twist and couple up with one of the new arrivals.

How Does Casa Amor Recoupling Work?

• If BOTH original Islanders decide to stick, they will be reunited and remain in a couple.
• If BOTH original Islanders decide to twist, the two new couples will both remain on the island.
• If ONE of the original Islanders decides to stick while the other chooses to twist, the new couple remain in the villa AND the original Islander who decided to stick remains in the villa but is single.
• Any NEW Islanders who are not selected by the end of the Casa Amor recoupling ceremony are officially DUMPED from the villa.

How Long Does Casa Amor Last?

As mentioned previously, the Casa experience usually lasts around three to four days before the recoupling ceremony takes place – this is to allow contestants enough time to explore romantic connections.

Casa Amor Couples To Win Love Island

Prior to the 2025 Love Island series, only one ‘Casa Amor couple’ had gone on to be crowned winners. Kai Fagan, an original contestant at the start of the 2023 Winter Love Island series, and Sanam Harrinanan, one of the Casa Amor girls, made history by winning the show.

Several Casa contestants had reached the Love Island final in years gone by but Sanam became the first to actually claim first place and the pair are due to get married later this summer.

So, what does Casa Amor mean? Well, Casa Amor is Spanish for “Love House” and that is exactly what it is. The secondary villa has been part of Love Island for many years, with Casa first introduced in Season 3 and it has been an ever-present since.

In the context of the TV show, Casa Amor serves as a loyalty test for contestants – with one half of couples remaining in the original villa and the other half heading to the secondary villa for a period of time.

New singles are brought in to test couples, and at the end of Casa Amor the original cast members must decide whether to remain faithful and stick with their initial partner or recouple with one of the new arrivals.
