Leicester Racecourse

Leicester is a dual-purpose track with racing throughout the year. It is the course that saw Sir Gordon Richards’ first win, and the first career victory for five-time Cheltenham Gold Cup winner and 1934 Grand National winner Golden Miller.

The track

Leicester’s round course is a right-handed, oval track that is about 1m 6f in distance. Its straight course is initially downhill, before rising and levelling out.
