Pontefract comes to life each summer with four Listed races the highlights of their calendar. The West Yorkshire track is one of the longest continuous flat racing circuits in Europe.
The track
Pontefract provides horses with a tough test of challenging gradients and a stiff, uphill finish. Stamina often prevails here, particularly with a long run to the line.
