Will Sunday’s Wimbledon Final Be The Hottest Ever At SW19 Tournament?

We’re nearing the end of the 2025 Wimbledon Championships and the All-England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club could see record temperatures during Sunday’s final.
The temperature hit a staggering 35.7°C during the 2015 showpiece, with Novak Djokovic emerging victorious against Roger Federer in four sets on a baking Centre Court.
While the weather forecast has little impact on Wimbledon odds, you’d have to wonder if Carlos Alcaraz may be best suited to the predicted conditions. The Spaniard has won this tournament in each of the last two years and he is currently favourite to retain his crown.
Those in attendance on Sunday will need to prepare for scorching temperatures, with odds compilers at William Hill putting the recorded figures from 2015 under threat. At the time of writing, it’s a 5/1 chance for that 35.7°C figure to be surpassed.
William Hill spokesperson, Lee Phelps, said: “With London braced for another scorcher and Sunday’s forecast pushing into the low 30s, we’ve priced this year’s Wimbledon final at 5/1 to go down as the hottest on record.
“The current all-time high stands at 35.7°C from the 2015 tournament, and with the heatwave set to continue into the weekend, there’s every chance this year’s final could challenge that figure.”
With the betting now heating up as we enter the semi-final stage of the gentlemen’s singles tournament, all eyes will be on Wimbledon over the next few days. Who will line up in the showpiece on Sunday afternoon?
It’s been a sensational tournament, with tennis fans visiting SW19 from far and wide. Fingers crossed we see a competitive final on Sunday and may the best player win.
