| BY News Team

Wimbledon 2025 has almost run its course as this weekend brings the two singles finals.

After an exciting, eventful couple of weeks in SW19, we are down to just two men and two women remaining, all four of whom are looking to etch their names into the tennis history books by winning the sport’s most prestigious tournament.

Who will land Wimbledon 2025 glory? We take a look at the chances of the four finalists here

Men’s singles

The men’s singles final is as many would have predicted before the start of the tournament, as No.1 seed Jannik Sinner takes on No.2 seed Carlos Alcaraz – a re-run of last month’s memorable French Open final.

Seeking a hat-trick of Wimbledon wins and with 20 consecutive match victories at the tournament under his belt, the Spaniard is unsurprisingly the 4/5 favourite to get the better of Sinner, the 11/10 underdog, once again.

Many would count Sinner as very lucky to even be in the final, given he was two sets down to veteran Grigor Dimitrov before the Bulgarian retired injured. That said, he did go on to defeat seven-time champion Novak Djokovic to earn his place in the final.

Alcaraz has had a slightly smoother route to the final but you can only beat what’s in front of you and he has done so in style, with his first round match against Fabio Fognini his only to have made it to five sets.

There is not much between these two, who many believe will go on to be the two dominant forces of their generation. Alcaraz won the first Grand Slam final between the two and looks to have the greater momentum heading into this one. His record of five finals, five wins also speaks for itself and it’s hard to look past the Spaniard completing the three-peat on Sunday.

Women’s singles

None of the top seven seeds have made it to the women’s final this year and Saturday’s match-up pits two first-time finalists against each other, with a new name guaranteed to be on the trophy.

Amanda Anisimova (19/10) took a big scalp in her semi-final in the form of long-time tournament favourite Aryna Sabalenka, however her opponent Iga Świątek is favoured in the betting at 4/9.

The final between Świątek and Anisimova promises an intriguing clash of styles. Świątek, the top ranked player in the world, has stormed into the final with trademark precision. Her footwork and improved grass-court game have made her look increasingly comfortable on a surface that once posed questions.

Anisimova, meanwhile, has produced one of the stories of the tournament. After a difficult few years, she’s rediscovered her rhythm, using her powerful groundstrokes and fearless hitting to knock out big names en route to her first Grand Slam final. She’ll need to be bold and consistent to trouble Świątek, who will be the favourite on paper.

If Anisimova gets on the front foot early, this could be closer than many expect, however Świątek’s ability to absorb pressure and shift gears could prove decisive on the sport’s biggest stage – she must be the bet at 4/9.
