Matchday two of the new Premier League season gets underway this weekend with all ten games being played across four days (Fri-Mon). We start this acca in the early kick off on Saturday afternoon, with Manchester City taking on Tottenham Hotspur at the Etihad Stadium in a very interesting encounter. Later that evening, Arsenal welcome newly-promoted Leeds United to the Emirates Stadium at 5.30pm.

Sunday will see this acca stay in the capital as Fulham welcome Manchester United to Craven Cottage and West London at 4.30pm. Whilst we conclude the acca in the North East, with Newcastle and Liverpool locking horns in another intriguing affair in this Premier League campaign.

Now, let’s take a closer look at some Premier League odds and Premier League betting angles for matchday two:

Manchester City v Tottenham Hotspur – Saturday, 12.30pm

  • Manchester City looked back to their usual selves in their curtain raiser against Wolves on Saturday evening, a comfortable performance which ended in a 4-0 victory meant the Cityzens ended the first weekend of the new campaign as table toppers. Having held a strong record here against Spurs, they have won just one of their last four Premier League meetings in Manchester.
  • Tottenham also got off the perfect start and avoided any potential early slip-up after beating newly-promoted Burnley on Saturday afternoon and whilst this is a new Spurs set up, they can take confidence from the fact they battered City here in November 4-0 in a remarkable game. However, i do think this one will go in the home sides favour on Saturday.

Pick of the game: Manchester City To Win.

Arsenal v Leeds United – Saturday, 5.30pm

  • Despite not being at their best, Arsenal got their campaign up and running with a very good result away to Manchester United on Sunday, a 1-0 victory albeit being on the back foot for the majority of the game will please Mikel Arteta. The Gunners have now got the perfect opportunity to follow that up as they welcome new boys Leeds United to the Emirates, a side they haven’t lost to since 2003, winning twelve of their fourteen meetings since.
  • Elland Road was electric on Monday evening arguably played their part in Leeds United’s victory against Everton, a late controversial penalty secured Leeds their first three points of the season with a 1-0 victory, extending their unbeaten run to fourteen games across all competitions, now they have it all to do away at Arsenal.

Pick of the game: Arsenal To Win & Over 1.5 Goals.

Fulham v Manchester United – Sunday, 4.30pm

  • Fulham travelled to the south coast in their curtain raiser to face Brighton on Saturday afternoon and travelled back to London with a point after Rodrigo Muniz’ ninety-seventh minute equaliser for Marco Silva’s side, continuing their unbeaten run after three victories in their pre-season friendlies.
  • Manchester United will feel hard done-by after leaving Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon with nothing to show for their efforts, a very impressive performance against Arsenal in which they somehow failed to put the ball in the back of the net. However, it was a performance that has given United fans a lot of optimism for this new season and they travel to Fulham on Sunday where they have a brilliant record, winning each of their last eight visits here at Craven Cottage.

Pick of the game: Manchester United To Win – 2 up.

Newcastle United v Liverpool – Monday, 8pm

  • These two sides have been battling it out all summer with Alexander Isak now refusing to play for Newcastle in the hope of getting his move to Liverpool but on the field Newcastle United picked up their first point of the season with a goalless draw away to Aston Villa on Saturday, although they might have felt disappointed given Villa had ten players for twenty-five minutes.
  • Liverpool left it late against Bournemouth but eventually got the job done with a 4-2 victory on Friday evening, they’ll also be looking for a bit of revenge here given they lost the EFL Cup final against Newcastle back in March. One thing we can expect is goals, with four of the last five meetings between these two sides producing at least three goals in all competitions.

Pick of the game: Over 2.5 Goals.
