The Premier League returns for gameweek two after an intriguing first weekend full of drama, we’re sure to be in for something similar this weekend with some very interesting fixtures.

Sunday’s Premier League action offers up some very intriguing encounters up and down the country, be sure to check out this weekends Acca on William Hill News.

We start the afternoon in South London, with Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest battling it out for a victory, this time on the pitch. At the same time (2pm), Everton get their new chapter underway as they finally get life started at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, with Brighton the side looking to stop that party atmosphere.

Sunday’s action will conclude in West London, as Manchester United make the trip south to face Fulham at Craven Cottage. You can view our Fulham v Manchester United Bet Builder Tips on William Hill News.

Now, let’s take a closer look at some Premier League odds and Premier League betting angles for Sunday’s fixtures:

Crystal Palace v Nottingham Forest – Sunday, 2pm

Punters can bet on Crystal Palace v Nottingham Forest with William Hill

  • Crystal Palace will return to Selhurst Park after making their European debut in the UEFA Conference League on Thursday evening, these two sides have been battling off the pitch since the end of last season in regards to their European adventures this season.
  • Oliver Glasner’s side once again shown how well organised they are as a unit with their goalless draw to Chelsea in their opening game of this campaign but with Eberechi Eze on his way to Arsenal, that’s a big loss for Palace.
  • The Eagles haven’t beaten Nottingham Forest in their last nine attempts, you have to go back to 2011 for their last victory which came in the Championship, whilst they’ve not beaten Forest here at Selhurst Park since 2003, with the last four games here ending in a stalemate.
    ——————————–
  • Nottingham Forest ended their pre-season games having scored just one goal in their seven outings, so to see the Tricky Trees then put three past Brentford in their first game of the campaign came as quite the surprise.
  • Nuno Espirito Santo will be hoping his side can continue their success on the road from last season, with the Reds winning ten of their nineteen away games, only the champions Liverpool won more (11).
  • I think we could see a draw between these two sides, both teams are well organised and you can’t ignore the fact that four of the last five meetings between the two teams have ended in a stalemate.

Prediction: Draw, Under 2.5 Goals.

Everton v Brighton & Hove Albion – Sunday, 2pm

Punters can bet on Everton v Brighton with William Hill

  • Everton will make their debut at the Hill Dickinson Stadium on Sunday afternoon but the Toffees will be eager to bounce back from their disappointing 1-0 defeat to Leeds on Monday evening.
  • You feel that Everton will need to start spending before September if Monday’s performance is anything to go by, the Blues offered very little in their curtain raiser and with some of the starting players, you feel like David Moyes was almost sending a message to the board.
  • It’s a big day for Everton but unfortunately for them, history of this fixture shows that the away side usually leave with all three points, with six of the last eight meetings going in favour of the away team.
    ——————————–
  • Brighton suffered heartbreak in their first game of the campaign, the Seagulls were just seconds away from getting off to the perfect start before conceding a late equaliser against Fulham, frustrating for Fabian Hurzeler and co.
  • The Seagulls will travel to Merseyside with confidence knowing they’ve now scored two or more goals in five of their last six competitive away games, whilst they won this fixture (albeit at Goodison Park) 3-0 back in August 2024.
  • It’s worth noting that five of the last seven meetings between these two sides played at Everton have seen both teams find the back of the net, i think we’ll see something similar in this one but the trend of away wins could continue.

Prediction: Brighton To win, Everton 1-2 Brighton.

Fulham v Manchester United – Sunday, 4.30pm

Punters can bet on Fulham v Manchester United with William Hill

  • Fulham salvaged a point in their opening game away to Brighton thanks to a 97th minute equaliser. Marco Silva won’t be happy with the lack of transfer business so far but i’m sure getting up and running with a point in their first game of the campaign would please Silva and co.
  • Despite the lack of signings so far, Marco Silva will make sure he get’s the best out of his squad as we’ve witnessed previously, the good news for Fulham is that Manchester United have only kept one clean sheet in their last eight Premier League games.
  • The Cottagers will be looking forward to getting back to familiar surroundings here in West London but they might be waiting for their first three points of the season, they’ve beaten Manchester United just once in their last nineteen Premier League games (D3, L15).
    ——————————–
  • Manchester United failed to pick up anything in their first game of the campaign against Arsenal but the United fans left Old Trafford full of optimism following the effort shown from Ruben Amorim’s side and if we’re being honest, they were unlucky not to pick up a point.
  • However, we’ve seen this before from this Manchester United side and it’s these types of games where they really showed some true colours last season, so this trip to Craven Cottage will be interesting to see how they perform.
  • The good news for Manchester United is they’ve enjoyed their trips to Craven Cottage in recent years, unbeaten in their last nine visits here whilst they’ve won each of their last eight trips to Fulham.

Prediction: Both Teams To Score & Manchester United To Win, Fulham 1-2 Manchester United.
