Liverpool: New Favourites To Win Champions League (2025/26)

The Champions League is back, and the outright betting market has already seen a significant shake-up following Thursday’s draw.

Liverpool have emerged as the team to beat, installed as favourites to lift the 2026 trophy for what would be their seventh European Cup triumph.
According to the latest William Hill odds, Arne Slot’s men are 11/2 to win the competition, edging ahead of defending champions PSG. The French side had been leading the market at 5/1 prior to the draw, but a tougher-looking path has seen them drift slightly to 6/1.
Barcelona have also shortened in the market, clipped into 6/1 from 13/2. After reaching the semi-finals last season, the Catalan giants look well placed to go deep again, boasting a blend of experienced heads and emerging young stars. They now sit as joint-second favourites alongside PSG.
Real Madrid, meanwhile, have eased to 7/1 from 13/2 after being dealt a tricky set of fixtures. Los Blancos will face off with Manchester City and Juventus at the Bernabéu, as well as a daunting trip to Anfield, a draw that explains their slight market drift. Still, with their extraordinary Champions League pedigree, Madrid can never be discounted.
Arsenal fans may be dreaming of a first-ever Champions League triumph, but the Gunners will need to navigate a brutal early schedule. Their opening fixtures see them face Bayern Munich, Inter Milan, and Atlético Madrid.
Despite that challenge, Arsenal remain well-backed at 7/1, sitting just ahead of Manchester City (8/1), Bayern Munich (11/1) and Chelsea (12/1) in the outright market. Last year’s run to the latter stages demonstrated their growing European maturity, and with Mikel Arteta’s squad now boasting greater depth, the Gunners could still attract plenty of support at those odds.
With the league-phase format promising heavyweight clashes from the outset, this year’s Champions League feels less predictable than ever. One thing is certain, though: the outright market will continue to move with every twist and turn on Europe’s biggest stage.

Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “Following last night’s Champions League draw there has been a shakeup in the outright market and Liverpool have been the biggest winners, shooting to the top of the betting at 11/2. Defending champions PSG remain hot on their heels, but their path looks trickier this time and they’ve drifted out to 6/1 from 5/1.
“Spanish giants Barcelona and Real Madrid were inseparable in the betting yesterday, but have since moved to 6/1 and 7/1 respectively, while Arsenal will have plenty of backers at 7/1 after their successful run last year. Elsewhere, Manchester City (8/1), Bayern Munich (11/1), and Chelsea (12/1) are all lurking, and have the quality to be serious contenders.”
