William Hill make Jarrod Bowen likelier to be named in Thomas Tuchel’s 2026 World Cup squad than Noni Madueke.

The leading bookmaker’s “To Be Named In The England World Cup 2026 Finals Squad” market has Bowen at 11/10 (47% chance), while Madueke is a 6/5 (45%) chance.
Madueke’s place in the starting XI against Andorra came under question after a disappointing performance, with many fans calling for the West Ham winger to start in his place given his impressive goal record over the past few seasons.
Other notable odds include Trent Alexander-Arnold at 4/7 (63%), ahead of Reece James who is 4/6 (60%), while Tino Livramento is further back at 6/5 (45%).
The right-back spot will be a topic of conversation over the coming months after Trent’s slow start to life at Real Madrid and Kyle Walker’s move to Burnley. Meanwhile, Reece James is playing football more consistently than he has over the past few years and has captained Chelsea to recent Conference League and Club World Cup triumphs. His odds will surely shorten if he remains fit and performs well.
Elliot Anderson only received his first call-up last week but is already 1/2 (66%) to make the World Cup squad. He could well cement himself as the number one choice to partner Declan Rice in midfield, with Adam Wharton injured and Kobbie Mainoo out of favour at Manchester United.
Marcus Rashford (11/10) and Harry Maguire (9/4) are both odds against, with Djed Spence also not fancied to keep his place at 5/2. The picture will become clearer over the next couple of international breaks, while form over the remainder of the 2025/26 season will play a huge part.

Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “England’s display against Andorra didn’t catch the eye and that has caused a bit of a shake-up in our market on who will be named in the 2026 World Cup squad.
“Noni Madueke was preferred to Jarrod Bowen on Saturday, but the West Ham forward is 11/10 to make the squad while Arsenal’s new winger is a bigger price at 6/5.
“Competition at right-back remains fierce and although he wasn’t selected by Thomas Tuchel for this camp, Trent Alexander-Arnold is 4/7 to make the World Cup squad, ahead of Reece James (4/6) and Tino Livramento (6/5).
“After an impressive England debut, Nottingham Forest’s Elliot Anderson is already 1/2 to head to next year’s tournament and finds himself ahead of major names such as Marcus Rashford (11/10) and Harry Maguire (9/4) in the market.”
