Hodgkinson given 88% chance of World Championship gold in Tokyo
Keely Hodgkinson is a commanding odds-on favourite with William Hill to claim 800m gold at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, with the leading bookmaker giving her an 88% chance of topping the podium.
The Olympic champion is priced at just 1/7 to triumph in Japan and secure her first ever World Championship crown. Her closest challenger in the market is her GB teammate, and training partner, Georgia Hunter Bell (12/1).
Swiss star Audrey Werro is also priced at 12/1, rounding off the top three in the betting.
Having won last year’s BBC Sports Personality of the Year award, Hodgkinson is currently 20/1 to win make it back-to-back wins this year.
