Premier League Puma Ball 2025-26

This weekend, the English Premier League returns after a midweek full of cup action across various competitions, with Matchday six taking place across Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

@Footy_Tipster gives his best predictions ahead of this round of fixtures in the English Premier League..

With just two games left to play before Premier League players head to represent their countries in a second International break of the season, Premier League managers will be hoping their sides can end this period strongly, starting this weekend. Make sure to check out this weekends Acca on William Hill News.

This weekends Premier League action starts in West London, as Manchester United make the trip south to the capital to face Brentford at 12.30pm.

We’ve then got four games all kicking off at the traditional time of 3pm up and down the country. Chelsea welcome Brighton to Stamford Bridge, the league leaders Liverpool also travel to the capital to face Crystal Palace. Whilst back up north, Leeds United go head-to-head with Bournemouth at Elland Road and Burnley make the short trip to the Etihad Stadium to face Manchester City.

Saturday evening in the Premier League provides us with two games, fresh off their European trip to Spain, Nottingham Forest play hosts to Sunderland at 5.30pm, before Tottenham Hotspur and Wolves conclude this busy Saturday with an 8pm kick-off.

You can view the Brentford v Manchester United and Crystal Palace v Liverpool Bet Builders on William Hill News.

Now, let’s take a closer look at some Premier League odds and Premier League betting angles for Saturday’s fixtures:

Brentford v Manchester United – Saturday, 12.30pm

Punters can bet on Brentford v Man United with William Hill

  • Losing three of your best players along with your manager is always going to be a tough test going into a new campaign and Brentford have shown just that, having taken just four points from a possible fifteen, they head into this weekend just one point above the drop in this early stage.
  • Scoring first and not seeing the game out has been a flaw of Brentford’s even last season and it’s continued under Keith Andrews, the Bees have scored first in four of their five games thus far.
  • Brentford games have been entertaining on home soil, having seen four of their last five outings produce at least four goals, whilst three of the last four meetings between these two sides have produced at least three goals.
    ——————————–
  • Manchester United head to London off the back of a big 2-1 victory against Chelsea last Saturday but once again, they made things difficult for themselves in that game. United looked in control after Chelsea had goalkeeper Robert Sanchez sent off after just five minutes before Casemiro also picked up a red card just before HT, the Red Devils dug in deep to see out the win.
  • Ruben Amorim will be hoping his side can finally kick on now and build on Saturday’s victory, but his side are now winless in their last seven away league games, their worst run since 2019.
  • One thing that has improved this season for Manchester United is their shot output, leading the way in the Premier League with 79 shots so far, therefore the Red Devils should get their chances once again here and i’m backing them to take the three points back to the north-west.

Prediction: Both Teams To Score & Manchester United To Win, Brentford 1-3 Manchester United

Chelsea v Brighton & Hove Albion – Saturday, 3pm

Punters can bet on Chelsea v Brighton with William Hill

  • Chelsea’s visit to Old Trafford last weekend couldn’t have started any worse, with Enzo Maresca seeing his side down to ten men within the first five minutes, followed by Cole Palmer being substituted early due to injury, they left Manchester with their first defeat in the Premier League this season.
  • The Blues have played again since then, bouncing back with a 2-1 victory in the EFL Cup against Lincoln City, albeit having to come from a goal behind to do so, with Lincoln causing Chelsea plenty of problems throughout.
  • They’ll also be confident of bouncing back in the PL, with Chelsea unbeaten at Stamford Bridge in their last twelve league games, whilst they’ve won the last three meetings here against Brighton.
    ——————————–
  • Fabian Hurzeler would have been frustrated to see his side throw away a 2-0 lead against Tottenham on Saturday to draw 2-2 on the south coast and after picking up just five points so far, it’s the Seagulls worst start in the top-flight since 2019.
  • Like their opponents, Brighton were also in EFL Cup action on Tuesday night and thumped Barnsley 6-0 away from home, that back-to-back 6-0 victories in the EFL Cup for the Seagulls but they’ve lost both of their away trips in the PL so far.
  • I’m expecting goals here at Stamford Bridge, Brighton have kept just one clean sheet in their last seventeen Premier League games, whilst seven of their last eight competitive meetings with Chelsea have produced at least three goals.

Prediction: Chelsea To Win & Over 2.5 Goals, Chelsea 2-1 Brighton & Hove Albion

Crystal Palace v Liverpool – Saturday, 3pm

Punters can bet on Crystal Palace v Liverpool with William Hill

  • Just two sides remain unbeaten in the Premier League after five games and they meet on Saturday afternoon, this is the first time that Crystal Palace have remained undefeated in their first five top-flight games since 1990.
  • The Eagles tend to produce close affairs and this could be the same on Saturday, only one of their last ten games have been decided by more than one goal, including the last seven meetings with Liverpool.
  • You have to go back to February for the last time that Crystal Palace suffered a defeat at Selhurst Park (v Everton), that was eleven games ago but the Eagles haven’t beaten Liverpool here since 2014.
    ——————————–
  • Liverpool have started this season very strongly once again, they’ve now won each of their first seven games in all competitions, with Arne Slots side already five points clear at the summit of the Premier League.
  • Despite such a strong start, you still feel that there’s so much more to come from the Reds which is a huge worry for the other nineteen teams in this league, we all know they cannot keep relying on late goals to get their victories but it’s also arguably a sign of champions.
  • Despite losing in the Community Shield to Palace just last month, Liverpool tend to get the better of Crystal Palace in the Premier League, they’ve not lost any of their last ten trips to Selhurst Park in the league, winning nine of those.

Prediction: Under 2.5 Goals, Crystal Palace 0-1 Liverpool

Leeds United v Bournemouth – Saturday, 3pm

Punters can bet on Leeds v Bournemouth with William Hill

  • Leeds United ended a four game winless run in all competitions last weekend with a 3-1 victory away to Wolves, a second Premier League victory this season which moves Daniel Farke’s side up to twelfth ahead of this game.
  • Farke’s side are yet to concede a goal at Elland Road so far and another clean sheet on Saturday would make them just the third promoted side in Premier League history to keep three clean sheets at home in their first three games.
  • Leeds have lost just two of their ten meetings with Bournemouth in all competitions (W8, L2) and have never lost to the Cherries on home soil, although this is a different Bournemouth side these days and they suffered a 4-1 defeat in their last meeting.
    ——————————–
  • Bournemouth played out a boring goalless draw against Newcastle United last weekend but that stalemate means Andoni Iraola’s side have now lost just one of their first five games in this new PL campaign (W3, D1, L1).
  • The Cherries will be hoping to at least get themselves on the scoresheet in this one, given they’ve scored in seventeen of their last eighteen away games in all competitions although they’ve won just eight of those away trips.
  • Five of the last six meetings between these two sides have seen both teams find the back of the net and whilst playing at Elland Road is always tough, i’m backing Bournemouth to just nick this one in a close affair.

Prediction: Both Teams To Score & Bournemouth To Win, Leeds United 1-2 Bournemouth

Manchester City v Burnley – Saturday, 3pm

Punters can bet on Man City v Burnley with William Hill

  • Manchester City travelled to Arsenal last Sunday and will feel a little frustrated leaving with just one point having conceded in stoppage time, it was a bizarre game for City though with Pep Guardiola playing quite defensively, something that we aren’t used to seeing very often.
  • City are already eight points behind Liverpool at the top of the table, a big worry for Pep Guardiola’s side especially as his side have made their worst start to a Premier League season (within the first five games) since 2006.
  • You’d expect Man City to get back to winning ways in the league though on Saturday, up against a Burnley side that they’ve managed to get the better of in their last thirteen games across all competitions, whilst they’ve gone eighteen meetings without defeat.
    ——————————–
  • Burnley have won just one of their first five Premier League games since returning to the top-flight but it’s not for the want of trying, conceding late goals to both Manchester United and Liverpool when on course for a draw against the odds, Scott Parker’s side have played well.
  • However, they head to Manchester off the back of a disappointing early exit from the EFL Cup having lost 2-1 to League One side Cardiff on Tuesday night, it’s clearly not their priority but a cup run would have been nice for the Clarets.
  • This is always going to be a tough test for Burnley and one they aren’t expected to win, they’ve conceded at least two goals in their last ten games against Manchester City, whilst their last victory away to Man City came back in 1963.

Prediction: Erling Haaland To Score Assisted By Either Phil Foden or Jeremy Doku, Manchester City 3-0 Burnley

Nottingham Forest v Sunderland – Saturday, 5.30pm

Punters can bet on Nottingham Forest v Sunderland with William Hill

  • Nottingham Forest are still looking for their first win under Ange Postecoglou but the signs have been good, especially in their 2-2 draw with Real Betis on Wednesday night in the Europa League, with the Tricky Tree’s just five minutes from a big European victory.
  • Although a game back on home soil could bring the Australian that vital first win, it’s not a given with Forest having only won one of their last six competitive games at the City Ground, whilst they’ve beaten the Black Cats just once in their last six meetings.
  • This is the first top-flight meeting between these two sides since the 1996/1997 campaign and the first since 2017, this a totally different Nottingham Forest side and they should get the job done here on Saturday night.
    ——————————–
  • Sunderland showed some real spirit on Sunday afternoon after coming from behind with just ten players to secure a 1-1 draw with Aston Villa, a result which puts the Black Cats up into seventh having taken eight points from a possible fifteen.
  • This is Sunderland’s best start in the English top-flight since the 2009/2010 campaign but the Black Cats are still awaiting their first away win in the Premier League this season.
  • Sunderland have showed they are hard to beat this season and i think we’ll see that again here at the City Ground, i’m expecting Forest to use their confidence from Wednesday night’s trip to Seville though and get the job done.

Prediction: Both Teams To Score & Nottingham Forest To Win, Nottingham Forest 2-1 Sunderland

Tottenham Hotspur v Wolves – Saturday, 8pm

Punters can bet on Tottenham Hotspur v Wolves with William Hill

  • Tottenham Hotspur got off to a slow start in their last outing against Brighton but Thomas Frank’s side came from two goals behind to pick up a point on the road before beating Doncaster Rovers 3-0 in the EFL Cup on Wednesday evening.
  • You can already see the improvement for Spurs under Thomas Frank, they’ve already picked up ten points from a possible fifteen and have conceded just three goals in their first five games, they’ve now kept a clean sheet in seven of their last nine PL wins.
  • The Lilywhites haven’t beaten Wolves in their last five attempts but it all feels a bit different this time around given where both of these sides are at this moment in time, i think we’ll see Spurs extend their unbeaten run to five games in all competitions.
    ——————————–
  • Wolves remain the only side in the Premier League yet to pick up a single point in their first five outings, another defeat here on Saturday would make them just the fourth side in the PL era to lose their first six games.
  • Wolves are unbeaten in their last five games against Spurs and have taken all three points in four of those, the Old Gold could take confidence from their last outing as well after beating Everton in the EFL Cup on Tuesday night.
  • Despite that victory, i’m going to back Tottenham to take all three points on Saturday night and change the trend of this fixture outcome, it should be a good game but Spurs to get the win fairly comfortably.

Prediction: Tottenham -1 Handicap, Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 Wolves
