Bookmaker William Hill make Thomas Skinner one of the serious contenders to be the first contestant eliminated from this year’s edition of Strictly Come Dancing.

The former Apprentice candidate’s odds to win the series suffered a blow after his appearance in last week’s launch show and he is 4/1 to be the first contestant sent packing, placing him third in the betting.

Ross King is the 2/1 favourite to leave the show first, with Chris Robshaw (7/2) also in danger. Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and Stefan Dennis (both 6/1) round off the top five.

Strictly Come Dancing Next Elimination Odds:

Punters can bet on the next elimination in Strictly Come Dancing 2025 at William Hill and here is the current state of the market:

  • Ross King 2/1
  • Chris Robshaw 7/2
  • Thomas Skinner 4/1
  • Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink 6/1
  • Stefan Dennis 6/1
  • La Voix 10/1
  • BAR 20/1

Odds accurate at time of writing.

Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “Thomas Skinner clearly failed to impress voters and punters alike in last week’s launch show and the former Apprentice man is the third favourite with us to be the first contestant booted off this year’s Strictly series.

“While Ross King heads the betting at 2/1, Skinner’s odds of 4/1 suggest he may be dragged into a dance off unless he fixes up his rhythm in weeks to come.”

The Strictly Come Dancing 2025 cast is one of the most eclectic to date, bringing together sports stars, actors, reality personalities and entertainers. Among the most talked-about signings is Harry Aikines-Aryeetey, the former Olympian and Gladiators star, whose athletic background could give him an edge on the dance floor. Alex Kingston, celebrated for her roles in Doctor Who and ER, adds Hollywood glamour, while Stefan Dennis, the iconic Neighbours villain, represents Australian soap royalty.

Chris Robshaw, the ex-England rugby captain, joins as another sporting name, likely to surprise with discipline and stamina. The line-up also includes Balvinder Sopal from EastEnders, Thomas Skinner of The Apprentice fame, and drag performer La Voix, promising flair and charisma. Vicky Pattison, beloved reality TV star, is expected to bring humour and energy, while Ellie Goldstein, the trailblazing model and disability rights advocate, will inspire audiences with her inclusion.

Unfortunately, the season has already seen drama, with Dani Dyer forced to withdraw after fracturing her ankle during rehearsals. Even so, anticipation remains high. With returning judges Shirley Ballas, Motsi Mabuse, Craig Revel Horwood and Anton du Beke overseeing the glittering contest, this year’s series looks to already be off to a flyer.
