Philadelphia Eagles at New York Giants Prediction – Thursday Night Football Tips
Week 6 in the National Football League gets underway on Thursday night, with an NFC East rivalry contest between the New York Giants and the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Eagles (4-1) slumped to their first defeat of the season in Week 5 and supporters will be hoping that Philadelphia can cope with the quick turnaround as they travel to MetLife Stadium on Thursday Night Football.
It looked for a while like Philly were about to move to 5-0 but the Broncos came charging back to hand the defending Super Bowl champions a first defeat of the campaign.
Philadelphia have failed to inspire confidence on offence this year so Eagles fans will hope that Sunday’s defeat acts as the catalyst for a much improved effort on that side of the ball.

Saquon Barkley spearheaded the Eagles running game last season but he’s yet to really spark into life this year. The Philadelphia running game is down in 29th in the NFL despite ranking fourth in 2024.
That puts added pressure on quarterback Jalen Hurts and the Giants defensive line will be aggressive in their approach on Thursday night – especially after Philadelphia, clear favourites in sports betting for this clash, gave up six sacks in Week 5.
Big Blue are very much a work in progress and it would be fair to suggest that the Giants are inconsistent at best right now. They are 0-3 on the road but have a .500 record at MetLife Stadium so I’m banking on home advantage playing a part.
Retaining possession will be key to their chances of success on Thursday Night Football and I’m actually inclined to side with the hosts to beat the spread. The Eagles haven’t been up to their usual standard and a quick turnaround isn’t ideal here.
