We’ve got a double header from the Premier League on Sunday afternoon, Tottenham Hotspur welcome Aston Villa in the first of the two games, before Liverpool face rivals Manchester United at Anfield to conclude Sunday’s action.
Now, let’s take a closer look at some Premier League odds and Premier League betting angles for Sunday’s fixture:
Tottenham Hotspur v Aston Villa – Sunday, 2pm
Punters can bet on Tottenham v Aston Villa with William Hill
- Tottenham Hotspur have started life under Thomas Frank brilliantly, Spurs have lost just once so far this season in all competitions (W6, D3, L1) and head into Matchday eight third in the Premier League, just two points behind rivals Arsenal.
- However, there may be slight concern regarding their home record given they’ve won just three of their last seventeen top-flight games at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and although arguments could be made in terms of life under Ange Postecoglou, Spurs have only won one of their first three PL games here under Thomas Frank. (W1, D1, L1).
- We might be in for goals here given that five of the last six meetings here in North London have seen both sides on the scoresheet, whilst none of the last twenty top-flight meetings between these two sides have ended in a draw.
——————————– - After a very slow and concerning start to new campaign, it looks like Aston Villa have now turned a corner under Unai Emery with victories in each of their last four outings across all competitions.
- Despite success in Rotterdam just before the International break with a victory against Feyenoord, that remains Villa’s only win away from home in their last six competitive away trips, although they’ve won three of the last five trips to Spurs.
- The Villans have scored the opening goal just twice in the Premier League this season, i’m going to back both teams to get themselves on the scoresheet and i’m expecting a close encounter on Sunday, i’ll edge towards Tottenham to just edge it.
Prediction: Both Teams To Score & No Draw, Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 Aston Villa.
