Lewis Cope and Ellie Goldstein have been the big market movers in the Strictly Come Dancing winner betting market, with both celebrities seeing their odds cut dramatically following standout performances on Saturday night.

According to the latest prices from William Hill, Cope is now the 11/4 second favourite (from 5/1) to lift the Glitterball Trophy, while Goldstein’s odds have tumbled to 10/1 (from 25/1) after a routine that won over both the judges and the public.

The pair’s surge in the betting comes after an eventful weekend on the dancefloor, where Cope impressed with a fiery Paso Doble that earned him the first perfect 10 of the series, while Goldstein delivered a graceful Viennese Waltz that cemented her as one to watch in the coming weeks.

Meanwhile, George Clarke remains the favourite to win Strictly Come Dancing 2025, holding steady at 6/4, while Vicky Pattison has drifted to 5/1 (from 7/2) as momentum shifts toward the emerging frontrunners.

Saturday’s live show proved to be a pivotal moment in the competition, with several contestants stepping up their game as the pressure mounts. Lewis Cope, best known for his role in Emmerdale, stunned both the audience and the judging panel with his commanding stage presence and technical prowess. His Paso Doble, performed alongside professional partner Katya Jones, earned him the season’s first 10, a feat that has immediately boosted his profile among fans and punters.

Ellie Goldstein’s elegant Viennese Waltz was hailed as one of the most enjoyable performances of the night. Dancing with Vito Coppola, she delivered a routine that not only impressed the judges but also captured the hearts of viewers, resulting in a flurry of bets that saw her odds tumble from 25/1 to 10/1 in just 24 hours.

Elsewhere, Karen Carney and Amber Davies remain in contention at 10/1 and 12/1 respectively, both producing solid performances but still seeking that standout routine to propel them higher in the market. Alex Kingston (16/1) and Harry Aikines-Aryeetey (20/1) continue to show steady improvement, while Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink (28/1) and others at 50/1 or higher face an uphill battle to stay in the competition much longer.

A spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, commented: “We’ve seen a significant shift for two dancers following the action in the Strictly ballroom on Saturday night, as both Lewis Cope and Ellie Goldstein have shortened markedly to win the show.

“Cope achieved the first score of 10 following his Paso Doble, seeing him move from 5/1 into 11/4. He now looks a serious challenger to George Clarke, who remains at the top of the betting at 6/4.

“Ellie Goldstein has seen her odds cut also; she’s into 10/1 from as big as 25/1 preshow, whilst Vicky Pattison is a notable drifter – she’s out to 5/1 from 7/2.”

The market now appears to be shaping into a three-horse race between Clarke, Cope, and Pattison, although the momentum is clearly with Cope after his breakout week. Goldstein, too, cannot be ruled out, particularly given the strong public support she has garnered since her performance.
