After defeating reigning champion Luke Littler in the World Youth Championship, Greaves’ odds have been slashed from 100/1 to 66/1.

The 2026 World Darts Championship promises to be a compelling contest, with a strong mix of established names and rising stars reflected in the odds.

Luke Littler leads the betting at 5/4 to retain last year’s crown, a clear sign of his remarkable consistency and dominance over the past couple of years, including his recent victory at the World Grand Prix. ‘The Nuke’ continues to show composure beyond his years and is widely expected to be the player to beat.

Luke Humphries, at 9/2, remains his closest rival. The 2024 champion’s steady scoring and calm temperament give him every chance of repeating his success two years ago, particularly if he maintains his form under pressure.

At 10/1, Michael van Gerwen, Gerwyn Price, and Josh Rock make up a formidable chasing pack. Van Gerwen’s experience, Price’s competitive edge and Rock’s emerging talent each pose different challenges for the frontrunners.

Further down the list, Gian van Veen at 20/1 and Stephen Bunting at 25/1 look dangerous outsiders capable of upsetting the odds. With the rest of the field starting at 33/1, the tournament appears to be heading for another close and unpredictable showdown – one that could either confirm Littler’s dominance or signal a fresh shift at the top of the sport.

Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said“Beau Greaves caused a shock at the PDC World Youth Championship on Monday as she defeated World Champion Luke Littler to reach the final.

“We have subsequently cut her odds for this year’s World Darts Championship from a three-figure price to 66/1, protecting ourselves against another underdog story like we saw with Littler in 2024.

“The Nuke is still favourite for this year’s Championship and at 5/4 he is a fraction of the price of his nearest rival, Luke Humphries, who is a 9/2 chance.

“It is by no means a two-horse race, with Michael van Gerwen, Gerwyn Price and Josh Rock all strong contenders at 10/1, while another young sensation in Gian van Veen is making waves and is not without a shout at 20/1.

“With the World Youth Final against Van Veen to look forward to, if Greaves continues to take notable scalps over the coming months, the 66/1 about her to win the World Darts Championship could well shorten further.”

With just under a couple of months still to go, there’s still scope for more shake ups in the betting before the world’s best players descend on Alexandra Palace in London. Littler will no doubt be looking to go back-to-back at the Worlds, but he’ll have to see off some fierce competition, and that could well include Greaves.
