United States Grand Prix Predictions & Betting Tips (2025)
The United States Grand Prix is at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin this weekend.
According to the latest F1 betting odds at William Hill, Lando Norris and Max Verstappen have been priced up as the joint-favourites to stand atop the podium on Sunday.
Oscar Piastri has a 22-point lead in the Drivers’ Championship over Norris, with internal team politics coming to the fore once again in Singapore after contact on the first lap. Piastri and Norris finished fourth and third, respectively, which was enough for McLaren to secure the Constructors’ Championship.
The papaya team have little leverage with team orders over the final six races of the season. It’s likely become far feistier than ever before between the teammates, with Piastri vocally annoyed about how the team managed their wheel-to-wheel racing at the last Grand Prix.

Verstappen Surges
The Dutchman hasn’t finished outside the top two in the last four races. It’s too little too late for the championship (unless Piastri and Norris take each other out multiple times), but Verstappen has been flying and has enjoyed plenty of success in Austin.
Similar to how the Red Bull’s advantage decreased during last season, McLaren are no longer the far and away quickest team on the grid. Mercedes and Red Bull have closed the gap. Only once in the last four races have McLaren got both drivers onto the podium.
Verstappen is worth considering as an option to win this race. His chances of success only increase the more bitter it becomes between the McLaren drivers.
Competitive Mercs
Kimi Antonelli has found his feet in Formula One with fourth and fifth-placed finishes in the last two races. George Russell is coming off his second race win of the season and finished as runner-up in Baku a couple of weeks ago.
COTA presents different challenges to the street circuits of Baku and Singapore. It’s not a circuit Mercedes have enjoyed success at recently, with no wins in Austin since Valtteri Bottas in 2019.
Still, the Silver Arrows have a well-balanced car and head to America full of confidence.
Best Bet At The 2025 United States Grand Prix
- Max Verstappen Race Winner, Charles Leclerc Podium Finish, & Kimi Antonelli Top Six Finish – 12/1
Verstappen is set to benefit from the McLaren drivers being too focused on each other. Charles Leclerc, winner at this race 12 months ago, hasn’t been on the podium since Belgium, but he got pole in Hungary.
An improved qualifying performance will put the Monegasque driver in the mix for the podium. He’s repeatedly shown he’s got the race pace.
Antonelli has eight top six finishes this season, two of which came in Baku and Singapore. The Italian youngster has the pace in his car to make that three in a row.
