Strictly Come Dancing Perfect Scores – Which Dances Are Most Likely To Score 40?
Strictly Come Dancing’s Halloween Week could deliver its first Perfect 40 of the 2025 series, with Lewis Cope emerging as the most likely to hit full marks, according to new research from William Hill Vegas.
Partnered with Katya Jones, Cope will perform a Couple’s Choice routine this weekend – a dance style that historically yields some of the highest scores on the show. Since 2019, the Couple’s Choice has produced six Perfect 40s, making it the second most likely dance to hit full marks behind the Charleston (9).
Other dances with strong 40-scoring records include the Jive (6), Tango (5), Salsa (5), and Argentine Tango (4).
Cope has come closer than any other contestant to perfection so far this year, with his Week 3 Pasa Doble earning 37 points – the highest score of the series to date – and is 4/1 favourite to deliver a perfect 40 this week.

Chasing him in the betting is Amber Davies (6/1), who continues to impress with her technical ability and showmanship alongside Nikita Kuzmin. George Clarke and Alex Kingston follow at 8/1, both hoping to use their ballroom strengths to deliver a surprise high score on Saturday night.
William Hill Vegas spokesperson, Lee Phelps, commented: “Lewis Cope has been inching closer to perfection each week in this year’s edition of Strictly, and we’re 4/1 that the Halloween special could be the night he finally delivers it.
“The Couple’s Choice has historically been one of Strictly’s highest-scoring dances, with six Perfect 40s since 2019, and with Katya’s choreography and Lewis’s growing confidence, the timing looks right.
“Amber Davies isn’t far behind in the betting at 6/1, with George Clarke and Alex Kingston both in striking distance at 8/1. But based on the stats and the momentum, Lewis looks the most likely to earn the first Perfect 40 of the 2025 series.”
