Next Wolves Manager Odds: Ten Hag Shortens In Betting For Molineux Job
Former Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is now second favourite in the next Wolves manager betting odds following a big move in the market overnight.
With Wolves parting ways with Vitor Pereira over the weekend, punters have latched onto Ten Hag and the Dutchman is now as short as 9/4 (from 12/1) to be appointed as the club’s next permanent manager.
Gary O’Neil was the early favourite to return to Molineux but he ruled himself out of the running for the job and the market is wide open as Wolves bid to appoint a manager that will keep the club in the Premier League.
Next Wolverhampton Wanderers Manager Odds:
Punters can bet on the next permanent Wolves manager at William Hill and here is the current state of the market:
- Rob Edwards – 2/1
- Erik ten Hag – 9/4
- Robbie Keane – 5/1
- Michael Carrick – 8/1
- Rui Borges – 8/1
- Brendan Rodgers – 10/1
- Bar – 12/1
Who will take over at Molineux and will Wolves avoid relegation this season? Only time will tell. Erik ten Hag didn’t have the best record at Manchester United but that hasn’t stopped punters backing the Dutchman to be the next Wolves boss.
Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “There’s been a dramatic overnight shift in the betting on who will be the next permanent Wolves manager, with Erik ten Hag the big mover – slashed from 12/1 into 9/4 – and the Dutchman is now the second favourite for the Molineux vacancy. Gary O’Neil has stepped away from a potential return, leaving Rob Edwards as the new frontrunner at 2/1.
“Portuguese boss Rui Borges has drifted from 4/1 to 8/1, now level with Michael Carrick, while Brendan Rodgers has eased slightly to 10/1 from 8/1. Meanwhile, Robbie Keane has seen significant support in the market – the Irishman shortening from 12/1 into 5/1 as he enters serious contention.”
