MLB World Series Odds For 2026

Who will win the 2026 World Series? We look at the early market for baseball’s ultimate prize.

William Hill opened its 2026 World Series baseball betting market soon after the conclusion of the 2025 Fall Classic. The Los Angeles Dodgers overcame the Toronto Blue Jays in a remarkable Game 7 – Los Angeles opens at 7/2 as the heavy favourite to make it three titles in three years.

Despite falling at the ALDS, the New York Yankees have the shortest odds among American League teams.

2026 World Series Odds:

Punters can bet on the World Series at William Hill and here is the current state of the market:

  • Dodgers – 7/2
  • Yankees – 7/1
  • Phillies – 10/1
  • Mariners – 12/1
  • Astros – 12/1
  • Mets – 12/1
  • Braves – 16/1
  • Red Sox – 16/1
  • Brewers – 20/1
  • Padres – 20/1
  • Blue Jays – 20/1

Dodgers Aiming for Three-Peat

Only two franchises in MLB history have completed a three-peat (the Yankees have done so on three occasions). The Dodgers are the first team in 25 years to go back-to-back; now they’re gunning to be the first non-Yankees team in 50 years to complete a three-peat.

Los Angeles was pushed to the brink by the Jays on multiple occasions. It’s far from a foregone conclusion that they reach the World Series again, but their core players are all signed up through 2026, and Roki Sasaki should be back in the rotation after working as a reliever in the postseason.

There’s no denying the Dodgers deserve to be overwhelming World Series favourites. Dave Roberts has led a dynastic team over almost a decade – this is MLB’s 2020 equivalent to Mahomes’ Chiefs or Curry’s Warriors.

Yankees Need Big Offseason

Paul Goldschmidt and Cody Bellinger leave two gaping holes in the Yankees’ lineup. Devin Williams and Luke Weaver have a similar impact on the bullpen. New York is losing four key players to free agency and won’t have Gerrit Cole until May at the earliest.

Reputation rather than reality puts the Yankees as AL favourites. It’s too early to bank on Cam Schlittler as an above-average big-league starter. The lineup is once again looking all too flimsy behind Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton.

Mets With Work To Do

Pete Alonso’s future is again up in the air. The Mets fell off in a big way in the second half of the regular season, missing the playoffs altogether after looking like a serious NL East contender in the summer months.

New York needs to overhaul its rotation. That doesn’t necessarily mean chasing the priciest arms in free agency, but we expect them to be very aggressive in the trade market. Dylan Cease could also be a good fit long-term.

Mariners Ready To Go Again

Seattle was two innings from reaching the World Series for the first time ever. Mariners’ fans are within their rights to wonder if they are cursed. This roster looked more than capable of winning the Fall Classic with a stacked rotation and a lineup that got hot down the stretch.

Free agency will be a test for Seattle. Their odds are among the shortest in the AL, but they are losing several players in free agency, including playoff hero Josh Naylor.

The lineup needs reinforcements this winter. Jerry Dipoto needs to do so without weakening the super-strength of the rotation.

Outsiders With Value

The Red Sox (16/1), Orioles (28/1), and Rangers (33/1) are the standout betting options beyond the top few teams.

Boston isn’t far off after reaching the playoffs in 2025. Add another All-Star calibre starter behind Garrett Crochet and they’re a real threat in a wide-open AL East. Their top-end prospects should contribute far more than we saw last season.

Baltimore has a lot of work to do on its rotation, and franchise cornerstone Adley Rutschman has regressed, but there’s still a foundation of high-upside position players to work with. Their front office should be in the mix for Cease, Framber Valdez, and any high-end starters on the trade market.

Texas was seventh in wins above average from its position players. There’s a world where Jacob deGrom and Nathan Eovaldi lead one of the better American League rotations and the lineup is in the top 10 in baseball.
