Premier League Betting Tips for Sunday 9th November

Premier League Puma Ball 2025-26

This weekend will see the Premier League get underway for Matchday ten of this new campaign, with the table starting to take shape and a few teams already upsetting the apple cart, we’re all set for another weekend of pure PL drama.

@Footy_Tipster gives his best predictions ahead of this round of fixtures in the English Premier League..

The Premier League action on Sunday will see four games kicking off at 2pm, Aston Villa look to continue their impressive home record when they welcome Bournemouth, Newcastle will make the long trip down to the capital to face Brentford, Crystal Palace and Brighton will reignite their rivalry at Selhurst Park, whilst Nottingham Forest and Leeds United meet with both sides in desperate need of a win.

The evening game on Sunday will see two Premier League title contenders battle it out in a mouth-watering fixture, as Manchester City welcome the reigning champions Liverpool to the Etihad Stadium. Make sure to check out this weekends Acca on William Hill News.

You can view the Manchester City v Liverpool Bet Builder on William Hill News.

Now, let’s take a closer look at some Premier League odds and Premier League betting angles for Sunday’s fixtures:

Aston Villa v Bournemouth – Sunday, 2pm

Punters can bet on Aston Villa v Bournemouth with William Hill

  • Aston Villa have climbed up the table in recent weeks following four wins in a row in the Premier League but that came to an end on Saturday night after a 2-0 defeat at Anfield, but Villa return back to Villa Park having beat Maccabi Tel Aviv here 2-0 on Thursday night.
  • Thursday night’s win on home soil extended Unai Emery’s sides impressive record, having now lost just one of their last twenty-eight games here (W20, D7), a sixth victory in a row on home soil would put Villa on route to the top four.
  • The Villans have been good against Bournemouth in recent years, as they remain unbeaten in their last five meetings with the Cherries, whilst they’ve won two of their last three head-to-heads at Villa Park.
    ——————————–
  • Bournemouth travelled to Manchester City on Sunday on an eight-game unbeaten run in the Premier League but that came to an end after suffering just their second league defeat this season (3-1).
  • Andoni Iraola’s side dropped down to fifth after that defeat and could be concerned about their away form given they’ve won just one of their five away games in the league so far, whilst they’ve not won here since 2019.
  • These two sides have met six times at Villa Park in recent years and five of those saw both teams get themselves on the scoresheet, I don’t think there’s a lot between these two sides at the moment so a score draw wouldn’t surprise me.

Prediction: Draw, Aston Villa 1-1 Bournemouth.

Brentford v Newcastle United – Sunday, 2pm

Punters can bet on Brentford v Newcastle United with William Hill

  • Brentford surprised many with their start to the new season under Keith Andrews with the Bees currently sat in twelfth place after the first ten games with four victories, a 2-0 defeat at Crystal Palace though in their last game wasn’t the best way to start November.
  • Bouncing back here on home soil will feel important especially with another international break on the horizon, the Bees have won eleven of their last seventeen Premier League home games against non-London sides, Newcastle are up next.
  • Brentford have really focussed on set-pieces and in particular the reintroduction of long-throws, they’ve scored from a throw-in in five of their last eleven Premier League home games, something for Newcastle to be aware of.
    ——————————–————————
  • It was a fairly slow start for Newcastle United to this Premier League campaign, they had started to find their feet and climb up the table but were stopped in their tracks last Sunday after a 3-1 defeat at struggling West Ham, despite going ahead early on.
  • Eddie Howe will of course be concerned about the Magpies’ away form, having not won any of their last eight league games away from St James’ Park, although they’ll be encouraged by the fact they’ve won three of their last four visits here.
  • Newcastle have scored in each of their eight Premier League meetings against Brentford and have also won six of those eight meetings, despite a poor away record recently i’m going to back the Magpies to build on their 2-0 victory against Athletic Club on Wednesday night.

Prediction: Both Teams To Score & Newcastle To Win, Brentford 1-2 Newcastle United.

Crystal Palace v Brighton – Sunday, 2pm

Punters can bet on Crystal Palace v Brighton with William Hill

  • Having put together a winless run of four games in all competitions after a nineteen game unbeaten record, Crystal Palace looked to be back with three victories in a row in all competitions most recently with a 3-1 win against AZ Alkmaar in the UEFA Conference League.
  • Oliver Glasner’s side have earnt sixteen points already this season and enter Matchday eleven in ninth place, it’s the most points that the Eagles have picked up at this stage in the English top-flight since the 1991/1992 campaign.
  • The Eagles will be looking to climb into the the top seven and will be confident of doing just that at Selhurst Park, where they’ve not lost in their last eleven Premier League games, whilst losing just once here since February in all competitions.
    ——————————–
  • Brighton travel to Selhurst Park to reignite this unusual rivalry and sit just one point behind Palace after the first ten games, their 3-0 win at home to Leeds United on Saturday means the Seagulls have now lost just one of their last six Premier League outings.
  • However, Fabian Hurzeler’s side have really struggled on the road in the Premier League so far having won just one of their five outings so far, their only win came in their trip to Chelsea in September.
  • This is a fixture that tends to end in a stalemate, they’ve seen their last eight meetings in the Premier League produce both teams to score, whilst five of the last six head-to-heads have all ended in a 1-1 draw.

Prediction: Both Teams To Score & Draw, Crystal Palace 1-1 Brighton.

Nottingham Forest v Leeds United – Sunday, 2pm

Punters can bet on Nottingham Forest v Leeds United with William Hill

  • Nottingham Forest are still looking for their first win in the Premier League under new boss Sean Dyche, the Tricky Trees head back to the City Ground on Sunday having picked up a point in their Europa League outing at Sturm Graz, although a missed penalty feels like two points dropped.
  • Despite consecutive clean sheets in Europe, this Nottingham Forest side are yet to keep a clean sheet in the Premier League, something Sean Dyche will really need to address if they are to adapt to his style of play.
  • Nottingham Forest have only won one game so far in the Premier League this campaign but this could be a turning point, as the Tricky Trees have won six of the last nine meetings on home soil against Leeds.
    ——————————–
  • Leeds got their new campaign off to a flying start against Everton but that already feels like an age ago, just one win in their last five top-flight games have seen the Whites move closer to the relegation zone, just four points the difference.
  • It’s been life on the road which has caused Daniel Farke the biggest headache, his side have won just one of their first five away games so far this season, scoring just three goals in the process.
  • I don’t think this one will be a thriller by any means but i’m going to back Nottingham Forest to get their campaign up and running properly with a win here and all three points.

Prediction: Nottingham Forest To Win, Nottingham Forest 1-0 Leeds.
