New York Jets at New England Patriots Prediction – Thursday Night Football Tips
The New England Patriots welcome the New York Jets to Gillette Stadium on Thursday night in what shapes up as a significant clash in the AFC East.
With New England sitting at 8-2 and riding a seven-game win streak heading into Week 11, they are firmly in control of the division. The Jets, meanwhile, are struggling at 2-7, but have taken consecutive wins and will look to build some momentum.
The Patriots have the best rush defence in the National Football League, restricting opponents to around 79 yards per game. The Jets will need to be creative with play-calling to give Breece Hall and the running game the chance to thrive.
And unfortunately, the road team will be relying on the running game to succeed if they are to stand a chance of causing an upset. With wide receiver Garrett Wilson on the sidelines, the Jets passing game has failed to inspire confidence.
Meanwhile, Drake Maye has taken his game to new heights in recent months and he can take advantage of a depleted Jets secondary. All signs point towards a home win and a convincing one at that.
The Patriots have been brilliant in the first 10 weeks of the season and they look destined to compete in the postseason. A win here will take New England to 9-2 and it would take a brave man to back against them at Gillette Stadium – and in this particular encounter.
Fans will be expecting a home win but how straightforward will it be for the Pats? I’d be shocked if the Jets were able to keep this one within a couple of scores. I fancy the Patriots to put on a show for their loyal supporters.
