Wes Streeting is the new favourite to be the next Prime Minister after Keir Starmer following increased media speculation on Thursday.
Now as short as 7/2 with William Hill to take over at 10 Downing Street, Streeting has shortened to 7/2 (from 9/2) amid reports that he is plotting to become the next Prime Minister.

Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “With the pressure cranking up on Keir Starmer and rumours of a plot to topple the Prime Minister from within his own party, we’ve seen strong support for Wes Streeting in our next Prime Minister market.
“Streeting was a 6/1 chance at the beginning of the month, but came into 9/2 on Tuesday following speculation that he was planning to overthrow Starmer and since then he has shortened further into 7/2.
“The current Secretary of State for Health and Social Care is now our favourite to be the next PM following Starmer, having replaced Nigel Farage at the top of the betting, with the Reform leader drifting out to 4/1 from 10/3 this week.”
