Ffos Las Tips Today – Gee Force Flyer To Boost Starzand Form

Exeter Horse Racing Tips

One of the races of the afternoon at Ffos Las on Wednesday, our horse racing betting tipster looks at the declared runners for the 2.10pm novice hurdle at the Welsh track.

A small but select field of four runners go to post for the 2m4f maiden hurdle at Ffos Las today, and here is my take on each runner with a selection ahead of the race:

Gee Force Flyer (Olly Murphy)

He ran a hugely promising race on debut, finishing a few lengths adrift of the highly touted Starzand. He had no issues with the track that day and Ffos Las is a racecourse that is fair, with very few hard luck stories and there won’t be any trouble in-running in such a small field.

By Jet Away, he could be one to improve for the step up in trip and the form of that debut run was franked by Gatineau Park (5th and less than a length behind Gee Force Flyer that day) at Lingfield on Tuesday afternoon. He has leading claims.

Legendary Luke (Jamie Snowden)

This point-to-point winner ran an encouraging race on his debut for Jamie Snowden at Worcester but bumpers were never likely to be his bag and it’s no surprise to see his trainer send him over hurdles.

An obstacle, plus the step up in trip, will be of no harm to him and it might actually unlock further improvement. He will have plenty of supporters behind him given connections and it’ll be interesting to see how he fares – he looks a proper staying type.

Tamarind Bay (Mickey Bowen)

You’d be surprised if Tamarind Bay is good enough to win a race of this calibre but he does bring a wealth of experience to the race. Rated 113 over hurdles, he is 0-12 under rules and you’d need to be the forgiving type to give him another chance in this.

Allstitchedup (David Pipe)

This is his second run following wind surgery and it’ll be interesting to see if that works the trick here. It’s a competitive race with a couple of aforementioned contenders at the head of the betting but connections make the trip to west Wales in hope.

The soft ground might be a slight concern given his wind issues but he shaped with promise into third on his most recent run and he’s turned out fairly quickly here – he is related to seven winners so his page reads well.

So… Who Wins?

I’ve landed on GEE FORCE FLYER in this contest. I was hugely taken by his run at Ffos Las on debut and the step up to 2m4f should be a major positive going forward. That race looked hot enough on paper and he can get the better of his rivals this afternoon.
