Watford preview – Four games unbeaten. Saturday’s 3-2 success away to Derby County saw the Hornets determinedly overturn a 2-0 deficit by scoring three goals in the final 30 minutes.

So fortunes picking up since Javi Gracia was reappointed as boss on 8th October. Just one home defeat this season which arrived 1-0 at the hands of Blackburn Rovers on Saturday 13th September. Two points shy of the Play-Off zone.

Preston North End preview – Certainly the Championship’s dark horses although lacking wins in their past two matches. Disappointed to lose Friday night’s intense local derby 2-1 against Blackburn Rovers at a sold-out Deepdale.

Hull City v Ipswich Town

• Kick-off: 7.45pm
• Rankings: 6th versus 8th

Hull City preview – Two defeats peppering three games. I watched their 3-2 setback against Queens Park Rangers on Saturday inside Loftus Road’s press box. I thought Hull competed well in twice taking the lead. But ultimately, QPR’s all-out attack swung the result.

On home turf though, the Tigers’ sole loss so far came 3-0 versus Blackburn Rovers on Saturday 23rd August. Joe Gelhardt has scored in each of his past three appearances at the MKM Stadium.

Ipswich Town preview – One point below Hull protecting five unbeaten matches. I’ve noticed Ipswich have won their last two away trips recording the same emphatic 4-1 scoreline at Queens Park Rangers and Swansea City respectively.

Score prediction: 4-1 Ipswich again.
