BBC Sports Personality Of The Year Odds Ahead Of December Ceremony (2025)

With the BBC Sports Personality of the Year’s award ceremony date confirmed, William Hill make footballer Chloe Kelly and golfer Rory McIlroy joint 7/5 favourites for the award.

However, Kelly and McIlroy are on the drift, having both being quoted at odds-on at some point and despite the fact they have been laid at far bigger prices throughout the year prior to their achievements (66/1 and 25/1 respectively), the money is going elsewhere currently.

BBC Sports Personality of the Year Winner Odds:

Punters can bet on the 2025 Sports Personality of the Year award at William Hill and here is the current state of the market:

  • Chloe Kelly – 7/5
  • Rory McIlroy – 7/5
  • Lando Norris – 11/4
  • Luke Littler – 14/1
  • Hannah Hampton – 33/1
  • Ellie Kildunne – 33/1
  • Ben Stokes – 40/1
  • Bar – 100/1

Lando Norris has been the subject of strong recent support, and he’s now just 11/4 having been as big as 22/1 in October, as he looks to set to win the F1 Drivers’ Championship.

One-time favourite for the award, Luke Littler, had drifted over the course of the year but he has also recently seen his price narrow following another big TV victory – into 14/1 from 20/1.

Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “With the BBC Sports Personality of the Year confirmed for Thursday 18th December, Chloe Kelly and Rory McIlroy are currently joint-favourites for the prestigious award at 7/5.

“Having been as big as 66/1 prior to England’s Euro success, Kelly has eased out to 7/5 from 5/6, whilst career Grand Slam winner McIlroy has also been easy in the market at 7/5, having been as short as 2/5.

“There’s been money for Lando Norris as he looks likely to win his first F1 Drivers’ Championship, with the McLaren driver now 11/4 from as big as 22/1.

“It says a lot about the level of this year’s competition when darts phenomenon Luke Littler is as big as 14/1, having won almost everything there is to win on the oche in 2025. In recent days, he has shortened into 14/1 from 20/1 following his Players’ Championship Finals though he was as short as even-money following his World Darts Championship victory in January.

“In an ordinary year any of the four’s achievements may have been enough to see them win the award, but the betting remains competitive as ever which is indicative of what a year it’s been for British sport.”
