This weekend will see the Premier League get underway for Matchday thirteen of this campaign, with the table starting to take shape and a few teams already upsetting the apple cart, we’re all set for another weekend of pure PL drama.
@Footy_Tipster gives his best predictions ahead of this round of fixtures in the English Premier League..
The Premier League action on Sunday will see five games take place up and down the country. Make sure to check out this weekend Acca on William Hill News.
We start Sunday off in South London, as Manchester United travel to Selhurst Park to face Crystal Palace.
At 2.05pm, we’ve then got three games kicking off as Aston Villa and Wolves renew their rivalry at Villa Park, Nottingham Forest return to the City Ground to face Brighton & Hove Albion, whilst Liverpool look to bounce back at West Ham.
Whilst the last game in this weekends Premier League action could be an early Christmas cracker, as Chelsea take on Arsenal in this London derby.

Now, let’s take a closer look at some Premier League odds and Premier League betting angles for Sunday’s fixtures:
Crystal Palace v Manchester United – Sunday, 12pm
Punters can bet on Crystal Palace v Manchester United with William Hill
- Crystal Palace had a five game unbeaten run prior to their trip to France on Thursday night, a 2-1 defeat to Strasbourg in the Europa League put an end to that with Oliver Glasner looking for his side to bounce back in this one.
- Returning to Selhurst Park will fill the Eagles with confidence though as they’re now unbeaten in their last twelve league home games (W6, D1), the second longest run in their clubs history in the top flight.
- The Eagles also hold a good record here against Manchester United, unbeaten in their last five head-to-heads here with the Red Devils, with two victories and three draws, keeping a clean sheet in four of those outings as well.
——————————–———————— - Manchester United also had a five game unbeaten run going until they suffered a shock defeat at Old Trafford against Everton on Monday night, mainly a shock due to the fact they played the majority of the game with an extra player.
- Ruben Amorim will be hoping his side can bounce back in this one but it does seem unlikely given they’ve won just one of their last eleven league games on the road and just three of their last twenty-six trips to London in the Premier League.
- Manchester United haven’t won at Selhurst Park since 2020, whilst they’ve not won any of their last four meetings against the Eagles, i’m going to back a draw in this one with both sides looking to get back to winning ways.
Prediction: Draw, HT/FT – Manchester United/Draw.
Aston Villa v Wolves – Sunday, 2.05pm
Punters can bet on Aston Villa v Wolves with William Hill
- Aston Villa have found some form as we head towards the Christmas period they’ve won ten of their last twelve games in all competitions (L2), including their last four outings, most recently another home victory against Young Boys in the Europa League.
- Unai Emery’s side have been brilliant on home soil, with just one defeat in their last twenty-four matches at Villa Park and having won the last two meetings here with a two goal margin, they’ll be expected to continue this unbeaten run.
- Aston villa have won all four of their league games directly after a European fixture this season, showing Unai Emery’s side have no issues in shifting their focus, no away side have won this fixture in the last seven meetings, going back to 2021.
——————————– - Wolves sit bottom of the Premier League table and remain the only side that are still yet to pick up three points so far, with history showing that no side have ever survived relegation with a points tally as low as that of Wolves at this stage of the season, eye-opening.
- The Old Gold are winless in their last sixteen games in the league and became only the eighth side in Premier League history to be winless after the first twelve games having suffered another defeat to Crystal Palace last weekend.
- Rob Edwards has a big job on his hands with this one and his first task will be to simply stop the rot, especially away from home where Wolves haven’t won any of their previous eight Premier League road trips, with their last away win coming back in April at Old Trafford.
Prediction: Aston Villa -1 Handicap, Aston Villa 2-0 Wolves.
Nottingham Forest v Brighton – Sunday, 2.05pm
Punters can bet on Nottingham Forest v Brighton with William Hill
- Back-to-back Premier League victories for the first time since April has moved Nottingham Forest out of the bottom three, the improvement is clear to see under Sean Dyche having picked up their first away win of the season last weekend away at Liverpool.
- The Tricky Trees continued their winning run on Thursday night as well with a 3-0 victory against Malmo in the UEFA Europa League, they’ve also scored three goals in their last two PL outings, they’ve not scored three plus goals in three consecutive top-flight games since 1994.
- Last season, the hosts humiliated the Seagulls with a 7-0 annihilation at the City Ground, and while it may not be the case this time around, three points are all the home fans need as they look to keep climbing up the Premier League table.
——————————– - Brighton are another side that are climbing the PL table, unbeaten in their last three (W2, D1) including their 2-1 win against Brentford last week has seen the Seagulls enter matchday thirteen in sixth place, just two points off the top four.
- However, the Seagulls haven’t been flying away from home, just 26% of Brighton’s Premier League points this season have come away from home (5/19). Only Newcastle (20%), Brentford (19%) and Fulham (7%) have won a lower share on the road.
- We could be in for goals at the City Ground, Brighton have seen all but two of their six away games in the league produce both teams to score (67%), whilst Nottingham Forest have seen 50% of their home games produce the same, including the last two.
Prediction: Both Teams To Score & Nottingham Forest To Win, Nottingham Forest 2-1 Brighton.
West Ham v Liverpool – Sunday, 2.05pm
Punters can bet on West Ham v Liverpool with William Hill
- West Ham United have really started to improve under Nuno Espirito Santo having put together an unbeaten run of three games in the Premier League (W2, D1), their longest unbeaten run since December 2024.
- The good news for the Hammers is those two recent wins have both come on home soil, another win here for the Irons would see West Ham claim three successive home victories in the league for the first time since October 2022.
- Despite Liverpool’s dominance in this fixture, West Ham will feel they’ll be facing the Reds at the perfect time and having seen six of their last eight games producing both teams to score, this one should be an entertaining encounter.
——————————– - Is it coming towards crisis time for Liverpool? That seems to be the question right now after losing 4-1 at home to PSV on Wednesday evening, a result which has now seen the reds lose each of their last three games by a 3+ goal margin for the first time since December 1953, incredible.
- Arne Slot is a man under huge pressure right now, it’s hard to believe this squad almost walked to the Premier League title last season and with his side losing five successive league games in London, another trip to the capital isn’t ideal right now.
- However, the Reds have won fourteen of the last eighteen Premier League meetings between these two sides (W14, D3, L1), whilst they’ve scored twenty-five goals in the last nine league visits to the London Stadium, i’m backing the Reds to bounce back and get themselves out of the bottom half of the table.
Prediction: Both Teams To Score & Liverpool To Win, West Ham 2-3 Liverpool.
