ITV Racing Tips & Predictions – Saturday 29th November 2025

Jumps Racing 2025

The ITV cameras head to Newbury and Newcastle on Saturday afternoon to cover six quality races in all, including the Fighting Fifth Hurdle and the Coral Gold Cup.

For our loyal William Hill punters out there, it will be a bonanza day of varied races at two of the sport’s finest racecourses, attracting some of the best hurdlers and chasers currently in training.

1.40pm Newbury – 2m4½f Handicap Hurdle (Class 2) (4yo+ 0-145)

FRENCH SHIP (NAP) holds a leading chance of sailing home once more in this Class 2 Handicap Hurdle.

After an unfortunate tumble three flights from home, when going well at Chepstow, the five-year-old bounced right back with a comfortable victory in a 20-runner handicap at the Cheltenham October meeting.

Harry Cobden takes the ride and French Ship looks a decent sort for a win bet.

2.00pm Newcastle – 2m1f Fighting Fifth Hurdle (Grade 1) (4yo+)

In what should be a ding-donger of a renewal of the Fighting Fifth Hurdle, CONSTITUTION HILL can get his racing career back on track with a “I was just teasing you” victory at the North East track.

The eight-year-old is undoubtedly one of the best hurdlers we have witnessed in recent years, and if Nicky Henderson has performed one of his traditional “rebuild” exercises with him, then he should be able to reassert his dominance in this sphere.

2.15pm Newbury – 2m½f Registered As The Gerry Feilden (Class 1) (4yo+)

GIVE IT TO ME OJ has been winning his recent races with comparative ease and while he is still in this rich vein of form, he’s well worth another flutter at an each-way price in the sports betting.

A course and distance winner at this venue already, he must come into the equation.

2.55pm Newbury – 3m2f Coral Gold Cup Handicap Chase (4yo+)

Venetia Williams knows how to ready a runner for a big Saturday handicap and her entry VICTTORINO shows all the hallmarks of a top staying chaser, waiting in the wings.

The seven-year-old gelding was showing the effects of a long season when we last saw him at Sandown, and he will return as a totally refreshed horse on Saturday – the absolute perfect time to catch a Williams-trained horse.

3.15pm Newcastle – 3m Rehearsal Handicap Chase (Class 1) (4yo+)

After an impressive victory at Wetherby, much was expected of KONFUSION when he lined up at Haydock on Betfair Chase Day, but he sadly made an uncharacteristic error and unseated at the eleventh fence.

With the stable going so well at the present, it can pay to side with Konfusion to put in a highly probable bounce-back run – he’s worth a second look in horse racing betting odds.

3.35pm Newbury – 2m½f Handicap Chase – The Jim Joel Memorial Trophy (4yo+ 0-140)

Noel Fehily has been doing extremely well with his racing syndicates, and it would come as no surprise to see the Fergal O’Brien-trained RYAN’S ROCKET put it up to them on his seasonal bow in this Handicap Chase.

A winner over fences at Chepstow last season, those Welsh fences take some jumping and will put him in good stead for today’s challenge.
