ITV Racing Tips & Predictions – Saturday 27th December 2025

Chepstow Horse Racing

ITV Racing will broadcast nine live races in all from Kempton and Chepstow on ITV, with coverage beginning at 1pm and running until 4pm.

I cast my eye over every race televised on ITV – hopefully I can find a few winners!

1.05pm Chepstow – 2m Handicap Chase (4yo+ 0-120)

With the Tizzard’s able to train the yard cat to win at present, the vote in this race goes to SIAM PARK.

The six-year-old jumped them silly at Plumpton last time and I can see Brendan Powell being assertive from the front around the Welsh track.

1.20pm Kempton – 3m½f Mares’ Handicap Hurdle (Class 2) (4yo+)

Course and distance winner DELLA CASA LUNGA seems to come alive when she races at Kempton, and the mare can go close again today.

Winner of this race 12 months ago, the seven-year-old ran a pleasing warm-up here last month and she’ll be trained to the hilt to retain her title.

1.40pm Chepstow – 2m Juvenile Hurdle (Grade 2) (3yo)

MACKTOAD, who won at Sandown’s Tingle Creek meeting, flies the flag for the Moore family today and is aiming to replicate Salver’s 2023 success in this Juvenile Hurdle.

On all known form, he’s the youngster they all have to beat.

1.55pm Kempton – 2m Wayward Lad Novices’ Chase (Grade 2)(4yo+)

The French recruit MAMBONUMBERFIVE ran in several Graded juvenile hurdles last season, successfully picking up the Adonis Hurdle at Kempton in the process.

He’s now just as big a hit over the bigger obstacles and can add to his impressive victories at Aintree and Newbury.

2.10pm Chepstow – 3m Handicap Hurdle (Class 2) (4yo+ 0-145)

AMBION VIEW had his runner-up form at Exeter bolstered the other day when the third placed Peacenik won nicely at Doncaster.

Hopefully his two frustrating seconds this season can be finally followed up with another victory. He certainly has to be in the mix and is worth a look in our horse racing betting markets.

2.30pm Kempton – 2m Desert Orchid Handicap Chase (Grade 2) (4yo+)

Noel Fehily has been doing extremely well with his racing syndicates, and it would come as no surprise to see the Fergal O’Brien-trained RYAN’S ROCKET follow up on his excellent debut chase victory at Newbury.

Readers of this blog were rewarded with odds of 18/1 in our sports betting that day, so fingers crossed for more of the same on Saturday.

2.50pm Chepstow – 3m6½f Welsh Grand National Handicap Chase (4yo+)

As stated on a punters pal last week, I am very keen on the chances of O’CONNELL (NAP) in this Welsh marathon.

After a career-best performance in the London National at Sandown, connections describe him as “in the form of his life”. Well folks, that’s a good enough tip for me.

3.07pm  Kempton – 3m Handicap Chase (4yo+ 0-135)

127-rated ALCEDO put up a dogged fight to just go down by a length to Docpickedme at Doncaster, and a repeat of that effort would see the progressive seven-year-old go close on this occasion too.

Also entered for the Mandarin Chase at Newbury on Monday, I believe Venetia Williams will make this race his target.

3.37pm Kempton – 2m Handicap Hurdle (Class 3) (3yo+ 0-140)

Harry Fry has been low on ammunition in recent seasons but he appears to have a decent youngster on his hands with TRUSTINTIMES.

Unbeaten now in his last four runs, the four-year-old gelding landed his first handicap hurdle at the surprising odds of 20/1, but no such chances have been taken today, and he’s a fairly priced 4/1 shot.
