Leopardstown Horse Racing Tips – Monday 29th December 2025

Cheltenham Day 1 NRNB

The fourth and final day of the Leopardstown Christmas Festival features the Grade 1 Leopardstown Christmas Hurdle and The Grade 3 Irish EBF Mares Hurdle.

Here, I cast my eye over every race at Leopardstown on Monday – and I have a selection that can hopefully advise readers to make a profit.

11.40am – 2m2f Irish Stallion Farms EBF Academy Hurdle (3yo)

CIRCLE OF SECRETS can come on a bundle from his debut run at Fairyhouse some 55 days ago, and is one of the chief protagonists in the opening race on Monday.

Trained by Emmet Mullins, the three-year-old can put it up to the Gordon Elliott pair in the horse racing betting.

12.12pm – 2m4½f  Maiden Hurdle (5yo+)

Henry De Bromhead has had a decent Christmas Festival thus far, and his FORTY COATS (NAP) holds a leading chance in this maiden hurdle.

Fourth behind The New Lion in the Turners Novices’ Hurdle (Grade 1) at Cheltenham last season, this is marked drop in class for the six-year-old.

12.47pm – 2m4½f Irish EBF Novice Handicap Hurdle (4yo+)

The consistent GIVE HIM A CHANCE can give another good account of himself today.

The Philip Rothwell-trained six-year-old finished fifth in a decent handicap at Navan last time out and races off a nice favourable weight on this occasion. His jockey also claims 3lbs which will be a massive help on the forecast going.

1.22pm – 2m4½f Mares Hurdle (Grade 3) (4yo+)

There’s not much that can be said here other than that WODHOOH is going to take all the beating in this mares hurdle as she builds her way towards the Cheltenham Festival next March.

She will be no kind of price but she’s one to include in your accumulators etc.

1.57pm – 3m½f Adare Manor Handicap Chase (4yo+)

Mouse Morris knows how to ready a horse for the big day and his CAESAR ROCK looks just the type to land a holiday prize pot like this.

Despite 13 placed efforts down the seasons, surprisingly the nine-year-old only has two career victories to his name. He should be good for a podium spot at the very least this afternoon.

2.32pm – 2m December Hurdle (Grade 1) (4yo+)

Irish star LOSSIEMOUTH looks to make it two from two this season at the minimum trip and there’s every reason to believe she’ll do it.

Connections have decided that she can enjoy the home comforts at Christmas with the December Hurdle, rather than having to go over to Kempton, and I think their decision will be justified when she romps home in this Grade 1.

3.05pm – 2m4½f Premier Handicap Hurdle (Listed Race) (4yo+ 0-150)

Carrying the same colours as Caesar Rock earlier in the afternoon, FRANCISCAN ROCK is in with a great each-way shout in this Listed affair at decent odds in our sports betting.

The eight-year-old has some likable form in races behind horses such as Bob Olinger and Rocky’s Diamond, and this appears to be a much easier contest.

3.40pm – 2m INH Flat Race (4yo+)

GOMEZ ADDAMS looked a nice type when rocking up at Galway over the summer and he is of high interest today, especially now that he has joined the Henry De Bromhead stable.
