William Hill £500k Final One Standing Jackpot Won Following Burnley Loss
William Hill have paid out their headline £500,000 Final One Standing jackpot after Burnley’s 3-1 defeat to Newcastle last night ensured the final seven remaining players all landed a share of the prize.
Seven entries had made it through to Gameweek 19 in the £500k game, which began back in Gameweek 1, with all seven selecting Burnley in last night’s fixtures. The Clarets’ loss confirmed the jackpot would be split evenly, with each player receiving £71,428.57.
While the flagship £500k pot has now been settled, a number of other Final One Standing games remain active, with further jackpots still up for grabs as the Premier League season continues into the New Year.
The £500k payout caps off a bumper festive period for William Hill’s free-to-play Final One Standing games. Across the busy schedule over the last week or so, the bookmaker has also paid out a further £345k in additional jackpots following confirmation of another £20k pot being settled last night, to take the overall payout total to £845k.
Those payouts included:
- A £200k jackpot paid to a single winner
- A £50k pot won outright by one player
- A separate £50k Final One Standing game shared between 15 players
- Two £20k jackpots, split between five and four players respectively
- The £5k talkSPORT private league, shared by three entrants
William Hill’s Final One Standing games are free to play and task players with selecting the winner of one Premier League match each gameweek, with anyone picking a drawing or losing team eliminated until only one player – or, in this case, a final group – remains.
Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “This is exactly what Final One Standing is all about – tension right through the recent congested fixture schedule and a huge payday at the end of it. Seven players made it all the way from Gameweek 1 in our headline £500k game, and Burnley’s defeat last night to Newcastle meant they’ll each walk away with over £71k.
“It’s also been an exceptional period across our other Final One Standing games. We’ve now paid out £345k in additional jackpots over the busy festive period alone – with a grand total of £845k given away so far – and there are still several live competitions running as we head into the New Year.
“With hundreds of thousands of players taking part this season, it’s been fantastic to see so many of them rewarded – and the big £500k payout is the perfect way to round off a huge few weeks for Final One Standing.”
