Constitution Hill Odds: Will He Run In The 2026 Champion Hurdle?

Cheltenham Festival Tips For 2025

One of the biggest names in the world of jumps racing, William Hill are offering a special market on whether Constitution Hill will run in the 2026 Champion Hurdle or not.

An eight-time Grade 1 winner, Constitution Hill was once regarded as one of the greatest hurdlers of all-time but he has lost his way in recent times. With three falls in his last four runs under rules, connections are considering a change in tack.

Trainer Nicky Henderson has stated that his next run will be in a flat race at Southwell in February, with a view to going back over hurdles for the Champion Hurdle at the 2026 Cheltenham Festival.

With all eyes on Prestbury Park this weekend for Festival Trials Day, it’s only a matter of time until concrete plans for Constitution Hill are revealed and punters will be hoping to see him thriving if he does go back over obstacles in the coming weeks.

Will Constitution Hill Run In The 2026 Champion Hurdle?

  • Yes – 4/6
  • No – 6/5

Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “Constitution Hill remains one of the most talked about horses in the sport, and as the Cheltenham Festival gets closer, the chat is only increasing.

“With his jumping issues, his unusual route to Cheltenham and the prospect of his stablemate Sir Gino being Seven Barrows’ number one two-miler, we’ve opened betting on whether the 2023 winner will rock up in the Champion Hurdle.

“At present, we go 4/6 that he does take his chance in trying to regain his crown, with punters offered 6/5 that he will not. An awful lot will hinge on his planned Flat run at Southwell in February, but we anticipate this could be quite an interesting market for a horse who really gets punters’ tongues wagging.”
