Premier League Betting Tips for Saturday 31st January

Premier League Puma Ball 2025-26

This weekend will see the Premier League get underway for Gameweek twenty-four of this campaign, with the table starting to take shape we’re all set for another round of pure PL drama.

@Footy_Tipster gives his best predictions ahead of this round of fixtures in the English Premier League..

Saturday’s Premier League action will get underway at the traditional time of 3pm in England, Brighton will welcome Everton to the south coast, the league leaders Arsenal will make the trip to Yorkshire to face Leeds United, whilst struggling Wolves go head-t0-head with Bournemouth at Molineux.

We then have two evening games, an all-London encounter will take place at 5.30pm as Chelsea and West Ham lock horns, whilst Liverpool return to Anfield to face Newcastle United at 8pm.

Now, let’s take a closer look at some Premier League odds and Premier League betting angles for Saturday’s fixtures:

Brighton v Everton – Saturday, 3pm

Punters can bet on Brighton v Everton with William Hill

  • Brighton & Hove Albion suffered their first defeat of 2026 last weekend with a 2-1 defeat at Fulham, they’ve not lost back-to-back Premier League games since April 2025, whilst they’ve lost just one league game on home soil in this campaign.
  • The Seagulls remain six points behind the tops six so their European dreams are still alive but defeat here could see them drop to fifteenth depending on results elsewhere and history suggests a win isn’t guaranteed here, as they’ve won none of their previous five league home games against the Toffees.
  • Since the start of December, only the bottom two sides in Burnley and Wolves have earned fewer points in the Premier League than Brighton’s eight, who have just one win in 10 league games in this time (D5 L4).
    ——————————–————————
  • Everton themselves are just three points off the top six and head to the south coast having played out a 1-1 draw against Leeds United on Monday night, the Toffees had to come from behind to earn their point but would have left the Hill Dickinson Stadium feeling like they should have taken all three.
  • The Toffees have won their last two away games in the Premier League but goals tend to be rare when Everton are on their travels, just two of their eleven Premier League away games have seen three or more goals, a league-low of 1.8 goals per game.
  • Everton have kept five clean sheets in their last six Premier League away games, including the last three in a row. They last kept four consecutive cleans sheets on the road in April/May 2021, while they last won three in a row without conceding in December 2008.

Prediction: Draw, Brighton 1-1 Everton.

Leeds v Arsenal – Saturday, 3pm

Punters can bet on Leeds v Arsenal with William Hill

  • Leeds extended their unbeaten run to three games in all competitions on Monday night with a 1-1 draw at Everton but the Whites are just starting to look over their shoulder as they remain just six points above the drop.
  • Daniel Farke’s side will welcome high-flying Arsenal on Saturday, Leeds haven’t beat Arsenal in any of their previous fifteen meetings across all competitions (D2, L13), whilst you have to go back to November 2000 for the last time Leeds took all three points at home v the Gunners.
  • Leeds have never won a Premier League home game against the side starting the day top of the table (D7 L7) but they should find themselves on the scoresheet as they’ve scored in 10 of their eleven Premier League home games this season (91%).
    ——————————–————————
  • Arsenal looked to be heading towards the title with no real issues until recently, the Gunners are now winless in their last three Premier League games (L1, D2) which has invited both Aston Villa and Manchester City back into title contention, with the gap now at just four points.
  • Mikel Arteta’s side are looking to bounce back having suffered their first home defeat on the season against Manchester United on Sunday, they haven’t lost back-to-back top-flight games since December 2023.
  • The Gunners have a solid record against Leeds United, their 5-0 victory in the reverse fixture extended their winning record against the Whites to seven games in all competitions, whilst they’ve lost just one of their last ten visits to Elland Road.

Prediction: Both Teams To Score & Arsenal To Win, Leeds 1-3 Arsenal.

Wolves v Bournemouth – Saturday, 3pm

Punters can bet on Wolves v Bournemouth with William Hill

  • Wolves sit bottom of the Premier League table and witnessed their five game unbeaten run (W2, D3) come to an end on Saturday away at Manchester City and with results elsewhere going against them, the Old Gold are now seventeen points from safety.
  • The Championship is in touching distance for Wolves much to their disappointment and with Rob Edwards’ side picking up just eight points so far, they are still on course of becoming the worst team in Premier League history, they need three points to match Derby County’s eleven.
  • The Old Gold have lost each of their last three meetings against Bournemouth at Molineux, thirteen of their last eighteen meetings have produced a winner and ten of those wins have had a winning margin of just one goal.
    ——————————–————————
  • Bournemouth secured consecutive home victories for the first time since October on Saturday evening and they did it in style, having found the winner with the last kick of the game in a 3-2 win against Liverpool.
  • It’s been an underwhelming campaign so far for the Cherries who enter matchday twenty-four in thirteenth spot and now just six points off the top six but their away form will need to improve if they are to grab a European spot, they’ve won just won of their eleven away games this season in the Premier League.
  • Bournemouth have lost just two of their last nineteen Premier League games against sides in the relegation zone (W13 D4). Away from home, they’ve won seven of the last eight, with the exception being a 2-1 loss at Rob Edwards’ Luton Town in April 2024.

Prediction: Bournemouth To Win, Wolves 1-2 Bournemouth.

Chelsea v West Ham – Saturday, 5.30pm

Punters can bet on Chelsea v West Ham with William Hill

  • Chelsea continued their impressive start under Liam Rosenior with a 3-2 away win against Napoli in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday evening, a victory that not only secured the Blues an automatic spot in the next round of the UCL, it’s also extended their winning run to four games in a row.
  • The Blues have really struggled on home soil in this Premier League campaign having won just five of their eleven league games at Stamford Bridge, although Chelsea have won each of their last five meetings here against West Ham.
  • Chelsea have won both of their league matches under Liam Rosenior so far, whilst the Blues boss could make a bit of history by coming just the fourth English manager to have won their first three Premier League games – Bobby Gould in August 1992, Sam Allardyce in August 2001 and Craig Shakespeare (first 5) in April 2017.
    ——————————–————————
  • Almost out of nowhere, West Ham have found a bit of belief and a bit of form having secured consecutive wins in the Premier League for just the second time this season after their 3-1 victory against Sunderland last weekend.
  • The frustrating thing for the Hammers is that fellow relegation contenders Nottingham Forest also won at the weekend, which means the Irons still remain five points from safety and history of this fixture suggests that gap isn’t going to get any closer this weekend.
  • West Ham have won just one of their last nineteen Premier League away games against Chelsea (D4 L14), whilst winning just two of their eleven away games this season in the top-flight, i’m backing Chelsea to get the job done.

Prediction: Joao Pedro To Score Anytime, Chelsea 3-1 West Ham.

Liverpool v Newcastle – Saturday, 8pm

Punters can bet on Liverpool v Newcastle with William Hill

  • Liverpool had to come from 2 goals behind against Bournemouth on Saturday night and even that wasn’t enough, with the Reds leaving the south coast with nothing after conceding a late goal to fall to a 3-2 defeat, extending their winless run in the Premier League to five games.
  • Arne Slots side now find themselves two points off the top four but return to Anfield having secured a UEFA Champions League last sixteen spot with a 6-0 victory against Qarabag on Wednesday night, that should put some confidence into the Reds.
  • Failing to win this one would see Liverpool fail to win any of their opening six league fixtures of a calendar year for the first time since 1954 but history suggests their winless run will end on Saturday, as they are unbeaten in their last 18 Premier League games against Newcastle (W13 D5),
    ——————————–————————
  • Newcastle United picked up a point in Paris on Wednesday night after a 1-1 draw against PSG but that wasn’t enough to secure Eddie Howe’s side an automatic spot in the last sixteen, with the Magpies having to settle for a play-off spot.
  • The Magpies are anything but flying in terms of their away form, it tends to be their biggest downfall as they’ve won just two of their last eleven Premier League away games, although they’ll take some spirit from their 2-1 victory here in the EFL Cup last season.
  • Newcastle have failed to win any of their last 29 Premier League away games against Liverpool (D5 L24), their joint-longest winless run against an opponent in their league history (also 29 at Man Utd between 1973 and 2012).

Prediction: Both Teams To Score & Liverpool To Win, Liverpool 2-1 Newcastle.
