Scottish Premiership Betting Tips for Wednesday 4th February

The William Hill Scottish Premiership enters Gameweek twenty-five of this campaign, with Hearts, Celtic and Rangers all battling it out for the title and domestic glory.

@Footy_Tipster gives his best predictions ahead of this round of fixtures in the Scottish Premiership..

Wednesday night will see two of the three teams in contention of the William Hill Scottish Premiership title in action, as Rangers welcome Kilmarnock to Ibrox before Aberdeen and Celtic meet at Pittodrie.

Now, let’s take a closer look at some Scottish Premiership odds and betting angles for Wednesday’s fixtures:

Rangers v Kilmarnock – Wednesday, 7.45pm

Punters can bet on Rangers v Kilmarnock with William Hill

  • Rangers slipped back down to third at the weekend having played out a goalless draw away at Hibs, they return to Ibrox now six points off the top of the league at the time of writing as they look to add to their fifty-five Scottish league titles.
  • Danny Rohl’s side welcome returning to familiar surroundings as they’ve lost just one of their twelve league games here thus far, whilst they’re on a unbeaten run of ten games in all competitions at Ibrox (W8, D2), with their last seven outings all producing victories.
  • Rangers have won each of their last nine home league meetings with Kilmarnock by an aggregate score of 25-4; it’s their longest ongoing home league winning streak versus any current Scottish Premiership opponent.
    ——————————–————————
  • Despite a start to the season in which Kilmarnock lost just one of their first seven games, they’ve endured a miserable campaign since then having won just three of their twenty-four games thus far, leaving Killie just six points above bottom of the league Livingston.
  • Kilmarnock have lost thirteen of their last fifteen league matches against Rangers (W2), including their last four in a row all while conceding 3+ goals since a 1-0 victory in October 2024, their last win at Ibrox came back in 2018.
  • Killie are winless in their last nine away games in the Scottish Premiership, it’s hard to disagree with the odds in this one and Rangers should get the job done fairly comfortably as they look to keep up with the league leaders.

Prediction: Rangers To Score 3 or More Goals, Rangers 3-1 Kilmarnock.

Aberdeen v Celtic – Wednesday, 8pm

Punters can bet on Aberdeen v Celtic with William Hill

  • With just one win in their last eight Scottish Premiership games, Aberdeen find themselves in seventh and five points off the top six, whilst they welcome Celtic with an even home record in the league (W4, D4, L4).
  • The Dons are looking to bounce back from their 3-0 defeat at Kilmarnock on Saturday but history suggests that will be difficult in this one, as they’re now winless in their last thirty-three meetings with Celtic in all competitions (D7, L26).
  • There is hope though for Peter Leven who remains in interim charge though, Aberdeen have lost just one of their last seven home league games although that did come against Rangers, they’ve lost both of their meetings with Celtic this season.
    ——————————–————————
  • Celtic continued their title charge under Martin O’Neil with a 2-0 victory against Falkirk on Sunday, the Hoops are now seven games unbeaten in all competitions since O’Neil took over for a second time in this campaign (W5, D2).
  • Celtic have won 15 of their last 18 away league visits to Aberdeen (D3) since losing successive trips there in the 2015-16 season under Ronny Deila, whilst they’ve lost just one of their last six away games in all competitions.
  • Despite that record, this will still be a tricky game for Celtic at Pittodrie, i’m going to back the away side to get over the line but don’t be surprised to see both teams grab themselves a goal on Wednesday night.

Prediction: Both Teams To Score & Celtic To Win, Aberdeen 1-2 Celtic.
