Premier League Betting Tips for Wednesday 11th February

Premier League Puma Ball 2025-26

This weekend will see the Premier League get underway for Gameweek twenty-six of this campaign, with the table starting to take shape we’re all set for another round of pure PL drama.

@Footy_Tipster gives his best predictions ahead of this round of fixtures in the English Premier League..

Wednesday night will see five games take place across England in the Premier League, as we enter matchday 26.

At 7.30pm, Aston Villa return to Villa Park to take on Brighton & Hove Albion, Burnley head south to face Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park, Manchester City continue their title challenge as they take on Fulham at the Etihad Stadium, whilst a huge game at the bottom of the Premier League occurs at the City Ground, with Nottingham Forest and Wolves battling it out for a much-needed three points.

The later game on Wednesday evening comes from the Stadium of Light, where Sunderland will look to go level on points with their opponents Liverpool.

Now, let’s take a closer look at some Premier League odds and Premier League betting angles for Wednesday’s fixtures:

Aston Villa v Brighton – Wednesday, 7.30pm

Punters can bet on Aston Villa v Brighton with William Hill

  • Aston Villa have won just one of their last five Premier League games as any dreams of a real title challenge now a distant memory given they’re now nine points off the top, Unai Emery’s side are in danger of being dragged into a top four battle instead.
  • The Villans are now just three points ahead of Manchester United at the time of writing following their recent upturn in form, they return to Villa Park on Wednesday where they had won eleven games in a row in all competitions before back-to-back defeats in the league recently, they’ve not lost three in a row on home soil since 2020.
  • Aston Villa have won seven of their last nine Premier League games against Brighton and despite winning just two of their last seven midweek fixtures, both of those victories did come against the Seagulls.
    ——————————–————————
  • Brighton & Hove Albion were booed off by their own fans on Sunday afternoon having suffered a 1-0 defeat to their rivals Crystal Palace, it’s now just one win in their last twelve league games (D6, L5) which has put Fabian Hurzeler under lots of pressure.
  • Things need to improve drastically for Brighton and Hurzeler but putting things right here at Villa Park will be tricky, especially as the Seagulls have won just three of their last twenty-six Premier League games played on a Wednesday night, whilst they’ve won just one of their last twelve visits to Villa.
  • We could be in for goals in this one with Brighton scoring in nine of their twelve away games in the league this season (75%), whilst Villa have conceded in each of their last five home league games, whilst six of the last seven meetings have produced three or more goals.

Prediction: Both Teams To Score & Aston Villa To Win, Aston Villa 2-1 Brighton.

Crystal Palace v Burnley – Wednesday, 7.30pm

Punters can bet on Crystal Palace v Burnley with William Hill

  • Crystal Palace had gone twelve games without a win in all competitions until Sunday’s trip to Brighton, a 1-0 victory for the Eagles should see them safe for another season as they extend their gap to the bottom three to nine points.
  • They return to Selhurst Park where they’ve won just two of their twelve Premier League games this season, only Wolves have won fewer in front of their own fans but Oliver Glasner’s side will be expected to win this one against a Burnley side on their way to the EFL Championship.
  • History suggests Palace will have no issues in this one, they’re on an unbeaten run of nineteen games against sides starting in the relegation zone on home soil, whilst they’ve won each of the last three meetings between the pair.
    ——————————–————————
  • Burnley’s dismal display in the Premier League continued on Saturday with a 2-0 defeat to fellow relegation contenders West Ham, the Clarets are in freefall and now eleven points from safety, it’s looking like relegation is all but confirmed.
  • Scott Parker’s side haven’t picked up three points since winning at Wolves back in October, they’ve managed just one win away from home from their twelve attempts in this campaign, only Wolves have picked up fewer points away from home than Burnley’s five.
  • Burnley have lost each of their last four away Premier League games against London sides, and have won just one of their last 16 top-flight visits to the capital, i’m backing the Eagles to win this one but the Clarets could grab a goal.

Prediction: Crystal Palace To Win & Over 2.5 Goals, Crystal Palace 2-1 Burnley.

Manchester City v Fulham – Wednesday, 7.30pm

Punters can bet on Manchester City v Fulham with William Hill

  • Manchester City travelled to Liverpool on Sunday and were just minutes away from going nine points behind Arsenal and the summit and possibly any title dreams disappearing but two late goals in a controversial game means City are well and truly up for the fight.
  • With the Gunners not playing until Thursday night, Pep Guardiola’s side can put some real pressure on with a win here taking them to just three points and the two sides still having to play each other in April.
  • Not only are Manchester City unbeaten in their last eleven consecutive home league games (W9, D2) but they’re also unbeaten in their last fifty-five Premier League midweek outings, whilst they’re 5-4 victory back in December meant the Blues extended their winning streak against Fulham to nineteen games in all competitions, the longest winning run one side has had against another in English football history.
    ——————————–————————
  • Fulham head to Manchester with just one win in their last four Premier League outings, twelve of their last fourteen games in the league have been won by either side by just the one goal margin, including the reverse fixture.
  • The Cottagers have won just three of their twelve away games in the Premier League this season, whilst they’ve lost their last two on the road in stoppage time, you have to go back to 2009 for the last time Fulham won here at Manchester City.
  • Fulham have scored in thirteen of their last fourteen top-flight games so they could get themselves on the scoresheet but having lost the last sixteen PL meetings against City, it’s hard to see them getting anything from this one.

Prediction: Both Teams To Score & Manchester City To Win, Manchester City 4-1 Fulham.

Nottingham Forest v Wolves – Wednesday, 7.30pm

Punters can bet on Nottingham Forest v Wolves with William Hill

  • Nottingham Forest are in huge danger of returning to the EFL Championship and given West Ham’s three wins in their last four games, the Tricky Trees are now just three points above the drop as they welcome bottom of the table Wolves.
  • Sean Dyche’s side should see this as the perfect opportunity to try and get themselves out of this mess given Wolves have won just one of their twenty-five games thus far and having won the reverse fixture 1-0 in December, Forest now have the chance to complete the double over the Old Gold for the first time in the top-flight since 1981.
  • Nottingham Forest have won the last two meetings against Wolves with the four meetings prior to that ending in a stalemate, they’re also winless in their last nine home games against Wolves in all competitions (D5 L4).
    ——————————–————————
  • Wolves sit bottom of the Premier League and having taken just eight points from their first twenty-five games in this campaign, the EFL Championship is calling and it’s no surprise having won just one league game.
  • Rob Edwards’ side picking up just eight points so far means they are still on course of becoming the worst team in Premier League history, they need three more points to match Derby County’s eleven.
  • The Old Gold remain the only side in the league yet to win away from home, they’ve scored just five goals on the road although four of those have come in their last five away games in the league, i’m going to go against the grain in this one and back a draw.

Prediction: Draw, Nottingham Forest 1-1 Wolves.

Sunderland v Liverpool – Wednesday, 8.15pm

Punters can bet on Sunderland v Liverpool with William Hill

  • Quite remarkably Sunderland remain the only side in the Premier League yet to taste defeat on home soil and return to familiar surroundings having suffered a 3-0 defeat to Arsenal on Saturday, a scoreline which feels quite harsh on the Black Cats.
  • Their fantastic home record will likely be tested here though on Wednesday as they’re winless in their last eleven games against Liverpool whilst only scoring just nineteen goals in the last thirty-six meetings.
  • Sunderland’s home form is now the longest run by a promoted side from the start of a top-flight season since 1977-78, though they’ve won just one of their last seven games against the Reds on home soil, that came back in 20212.
    ——————————–————————
  • Liverpool suffered late heartbreak against Manchester City on Sunday, a 2-1 defeat has left the Reds five points off the top four at the time of writing, it’s now just one win in their last seven league games (D4, L2.
  • Arne Slot’s side are back on the road where they’ve won just two of their last ten away games in the league (D3, L5) but they travel to the Stadium of Light having not lost here in any of their last five trips.
  • This one is a tough one to call, naturally you’d expect Liverpool to beat a promoted side but the home form of Sunderland throws everything into doubt, given the head-to-head record in the last eleven, i’m going to back Liverpool to win here but in a close encounter.

Prediction: Liverpool To Win, Sunderland 1-2 Liverpool.
