ITV Racing Tips – Saturday 7th February 2026

A racehorse in training on Newmarket gallops on a cold morning in winter.

William Hill Super Saturday takes place at Newbury Racecourse just five weeks before the Cheltenham Festival, and the ITV cameras will be there to cover FIVE lives races. The feature race on the afternoon is the William Hill Denman Chase.

ITV will also show THREE races from Warwick racecourse, including the Kingmaker Novices’ Chase.

1.00pm Newbury – 2m½f William Hill Racing Epic Boosts Novices’ Hurdle

Six-year-old SOBER GLORY has been in imperious form this season, and now on a rating of 139, he should be able to dominate proceedings here.

Sent off long odds-on in our horse racing odds last time out at Newbury, he may well be favourite again today, but his price will be a more backable one for punters.

1.15pm Warwick – 2m5f Mares’ Hurdle (Listed Race)

Mel Rowley’s mare ANALIESE (NAP) is in rude health at present and holds a great chance of bringing up her hat-trick in this 2m5f Listed contest.

She recorded two nice victories in December at Uttoxeter and Aintree, and although this race is a furlong further, she’s well equipped to handle the extra yardage.

1.35pm Newbury – 3m½f William Hill Each Way Extra Handicap Hurdle

Veteran performer KYNTARA has been struggling to recapture his old form, but this isn’t particularly a strong line-up, and even a glimmer of his back class can make him a contender once more.

If Rowley’s runner goes well at Warwick 20 minutes earlier, then I will be dead keen to back the former Pertemps Final runner-up here.

1.50pm Warwick – 2m Kingmaker Novices’ Chase (Grade 2)

Just three runners are entered for the Kingmaker, and I shall not be deserting MAMBONUMBERFIVE, who I have tipped up in this column on all three of his victories this season. Hopefully he will have too much for Steel Ally around Warwick.

2.10pm Newbury – 3m William Hill Denman Chase (Grade 2)

The Welsh and Irish Grand National hero HAITI COULEURS is going to take all the beating in the Denman Chase, fit and ready to roll after a postponed trip to Ireland. L’Homme Presse follows him home for the forecast.

2.25pm Warwick – 2m4f Veterans’ Handicap Chase

After Cheltenham, course and distance winner GUARD YOUR DREAM loves it around this track and will appreciate this drop in trip after his Uttoxeter exertions. The ten-year-old looks an each-way cert in this compact field.

2.45pm Newbury – 2m½f William Hill Game Spirit Chase (Grade 2)

MEETMEBYTHESEA will have to step up again to challenge the hot-pot favourite in this Grade 2, but the six-year-old has done everything right at Wetherby and Ayr thus far, and is learning his trade quickly. Odds of 20/1 in our sports betting looks rather plump for the JP McManus representative.

3.20pm Newbury – 2m½f William Hill Hurdle (Premier Handicap)

There’s lots of each-way value to be had in this large field handicap for ITV viewers and BUCEPHALUS marginally gets my each-way vote.

The course and distance scorer will be right at home with the going, and he has had two nice run outs at Doncaster and Haydock before this. If he can slip them all again like he did at Haydock, then he could well hold on at attractive odds.
