Macclesfield Huge Odds For Another Cup Upset Against Brentford

The FA Cup is back for it’s 145th edition, the oldest football tournament in the world has provided plenty of drama over the years.

@Footy_Tipster gives his best predictions ahead of this round of fixtures in the FA Cup..

Macclesfield will be hoping their FA Cup fairy tale can continue on Monday evening when they look to knock out Premier League opposition for the second time in this campaign.

Now, let’s take a closer look at some FA Cup odds and betting angles for Monday’s fixture:

Macclesfield v Brentford – Monday, 7.30pm

Punters can bet on Macclesfield v Brentford with William Hill

  • Macclesfield pulled off one of the biggest cup upsets in this historic competition having beat Premier League side and current FA Cup holders Crystal Palace in round three.
  • The Silkmen haven’t let that victory get to their heads though, as they’ve won five of their seven games since that historic win, John Rooney’s side currently sit seventh in the sixth tier of English football.
  • Macclesfield will be looking to make their pitch work in their favour, they’ve lost just one of their last fifteen games on home soil in allm competitions, can they cause another upset in this one?
    ——————————–————————
  • Brentford will know exactly what they are going to be up against, playing on a pitch that you wouldn’t see in the Premier League, the Bees won’t be taking anything for granted ahead of their trip to Macclesfield.
  • Keith Andrews’ side beat Sheffield Wednesday in the third round to set up this clash, this is the furthest they’ve been in the FA Cup since the 2021/2022 campaign, they’ve not reached the fifth round since facing Swansea in 2019.
  • The Bees are flying in the Premier League and after a 1-1 draw with Arsenal on Thursday night, they remain just five points behind the top five, whilst a cup run would also be in the thoughts of Keith Andrews.

Prediction: Brentford -2 Handicap, Macclesfield 0-3 Brentford.
