Newcastle Star Slashed To Be Champions League Top Goal Scorer
After becoming just the second player to ever score four goals in one half of a Champions League match, Anthony Gordon’s odds to win the UEFA Champions League Top Goalscorer award have been slashed by William Hill.
The Newcastle winger has jumped right up the market, shortening from 66/1 to 16/1, after reaching double figures in goals for the competition. He only has current favourite Kylian Mbappe in front of him, who heads the betting at 4/11.
Harry Kane and Erling Haaland are still in the running for the award, despite having less goals than Gordon currently; they are 6/1 and 8/1, respectively.
Champions League Top Scorer Odds 2025/26:
- Kylian Mbappe – 4/11
- Harry Kane – 6/1
- Erling Haaland – 8/1
- Anthony Gordon – 16/1
- Victor Osimhen – 33/1
- Bar – 40/1
Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “Anthony Gordon has blown the Champions League Golden Boot race wide open. His four-goal first half – a feat matched by only one other player in the competition’s history – has seen his odds on being Champions League Top Goalscorer plummet.
“The Newcastle winger has shortened from a distant 66/1 to 16/1 after powering into double figures for the tournament. Kylian Mbappe still leads both the scoring charts and the betting at 4/11, while Harry Kane sits among the main challengers at 6/1, ahead of Erling Haaland who is 8/1.”
