Bristol City at 17/20 look real value to win this FA Cup fourth round tie, whilst a 2-0 win at 15/2 also looks appealing.
@Footy_Tipster gives his best predictions ahead of this round of fixtures in the FA Cup..
Having previously been scheduled for Valentines day, a waterlogged pitch meant the game between League One side Port Vale and Championship side Bristol City in the fourth-round of the FA Cup had to be delayed until Tuesday, with Premier League side Sunderland waiting for the winner.
Now, let’s take a closer look at some FA Cup odds and betting angles for Tuesday’s fixture:
Port Vale v Bristol City – Tuesday, 7.45pm
Punters can bet on Port Vale v Bristol City with William Hill
- Port Vale sit bottom of the EFL League One table having won just six of their thirty-two league games thus far, whilst manager Jon Brady has the chance to create a little bit of club history here as a win will secure a spot in the FA Cup fifth round for the first time since 1995-1996.
- The Valiants can take some confidence from recent results though, despite sitting ten points from safety they welcome Bristol City after an unbeaten run of three games in the league (W1, D2), they are priced at 29/10 to cause an upset in this one.
- Port Vale and Bristol City have never previously faced each other in the FA Cup, with this the first meeting between the two sides since a 3-1 victory for the Robins in League One in February 2015.
——————————–———————— - Bristol City’s play-off hopes took another dent on Friday night after losing 2-1 at home to fellow play-off contenders Watford in the EFL Championship, a result which leaves the Robins now seven points off the top six.
- Bristol City have progressed from five of their past six FA Cup ties against sides from a lower division, while they have won eight of their last 10 away games in the competition against lower tier opponents, they are 17/20 to win this fourth-round tie with William Hill.
- Despite priorities possibly being elsewhere in terms of their EFL Championship campaign, i just think Bristol City will have enough to get over the line in this one and secure their spot in the fifth round for the first time since 2022/2023.
Prediction: Bristol City To Win (17/20), Port Vale 0-2 Bristol City (15/2).
