Indian Wells Open Women’s Final 2026: Hard To Split Sabalenka And Rybakina
The women’s Indian Wells final takes place on Sunday evening, with two of the top three players in the world going head-to-head.
Aryna Sabalenka vs Elena Rybakina
It’s a rematch of the Australian Open final and the seventh meeting between Aryna Sabalenka and Elena Rybakina in the last 18 months.
Salabenka v Rybakina Odds:
- Aryna Sabalenka – 4/6
- Elena Rybakina – 5/4
Rybakina has won four of the six previous contests, including triumphs over Sabalenka in Melbourne and Riyadh over the last few months.
As expected, the pair of tennis betting favourites cruised through their semi-final duels. Sabalenka beat Linda Nosková in straight sets. Rybakina was pushed a little harder by Elina Svitolina but still won in the minimum number of sets.
Sabalenka hasn’t dropped a set so far in this tournament. Rybakina has won every set since the second round.
Nosková couldn’t live with Sabalenka on Friday. It was a mismatch, with Sabalenka nailing 75% of her first serves and winning more than 70% of points on her second serve. For Rybakina, her first serve was slightly less accurate, but it was lethal against Svitolina when it was in. She also created 10 break-point opportunities.
The serving form Sabalenka showed in the semi-final is ominous for Rybakina. Three of the last four matches between these players have been wrapped up in straight sets, but their Australian Open duel went the distance.
Both are playing at an incredibly high level, making this a very difficult match to call either way. Sabalenka is going to be hard to break, so her serve alone should see her win at least one set.
The way Rybakina saw off Svitolina suggests she won’t go down without a fight. We’re expecting three highly competitive sets.
Pick: Both players to win a set (5/4)
