EFL Cup Final on a Knife‑Edge: 24/5 1‑1 and 10/1 City on Penalties Highlight the Value

A 1-1 draw at 24/5 appeals, and Manchester City to edge it on penalties at 10/1 also stands out with William Hill.

@Footy_Tipster gives his best predictions ahead of this EFL Cup Final..

The first piece of silverware is up for grabs in English football as Arsenal take on Manchester City in this EFL Cup Final on Sunday at Wembley Stadium.

Now, let’s take a closer look at some EFL Cup Final odds and betting angles for Sunday’s fixture:

Arsenal v Manchester City – Sunday, 4.30pm

See how the odds stack up across every market.

  • Having secured their spot in the UEFA Champions League quarter-final with a 2-0 victory against Bayer Leverkusen on Tuesday evening, Arsenal will now be looking to tick off their first part of a quadruple with a victory here in the EFL Cup Final.
  • Mikel Arteta’s side haven’t won a trophy since 2020 but are sure to pick up something this season given his side have a nine point lead over Manchester City in the Premier League, the Gunners have won this competition just twice and not since 1993 have they lifted this trophy, you can back Arsenal at 13/10 with William Hill for that drought to end.
  • Arsenal are yet to taste defeat in any of their last six meetings in all competitions against Manchester City, whilst only one of those six games had been won by more than a single goal (5-1 in Feb 2025), three of the last four have ended level.
    ——————————–————————
  • It’s been a bad week for Manchester City, their 1-1 draw against West Ham last weekend was sandwiched between two defeats against Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League, they’ll be looking to lift this trophy for the first time since 2021.
  • Manchester City make the trip to Wembley with a fine record in the EFL Cup Final, they’ve won seven successive finals in this competitions having last lost back in 1973/1974, this is a big opportunity to get some mental advantage over the Gunners ahead of the title showdown, Pep Guardiola’s side are 21/10 to win within ninety-minutes.
  • City have kept just one clean sheet in their last eight games away from the Etihad Stadium, i’m expecting quite a cagey affair between these two and seeing the game go the distance wouldn’t surprise me too much.

Prediction: Draw (21/20), Arsenal 1-1 Manchester City (24/5) – Manchester City To Win On Penalties (10/1).
