Manchester City vs Liverpool Prediction: Pep’s Men March On

| BY Sam Cox

Domestic action returns with the FA Cup quarter-finals this weekend. The schedule kicks off with Manchester City and Liverpool meeting at the Etihad, and William Hill’s expert tipster casts his eye over the contest.

Here are our football betting tips ahead of City’s clash with Liverpool on Saturday afternoon.

Manchester City vs Liverpool Odds:

  • Man City – 3/4
  • Draw – 14/5
  • Liverpool – 29/10

Manchester City are clear betting favourites over Liverpool. Pep Guardiola’s men have done the league double over Arne Slot’s side, but Liverpool have had plenty of good results at the Etihad Stadium in recent years.

Kicking off at lunchtime after an international break is a nightmare scenario for managers. Players coming off long-haul trips are unlikely to start, and the visitors will have an eye on next week’s Champions League quarter-final duel with PSG.

City have already got their hands on the League Cup and remain in the title race. Guardiola doesn’t have the distraction of Champions League football, so should name a full-strength team for this encounter.

A cup double could be a pretty tidy consolation for City in what has been a disappointing season by their standards. Two wins over the Reds already this term means the hosts are deserving favourites.

Even at a relatively short price of 3/4, there’s value backing a home win in this one. Liverpool are a hard team to trust after a poor recent run.
