Matt Fitzpatrick Masters 2026 Odds: Englishman The Worst Liability For Augusta National Glory
William Hill have revealed Matt Fitzpatrick is their clear worst result for the 2026 Masters, with the Englishman now more than twice the liability of any other player following his Valspar Championship victory and sustained support over the past fortnight.
Fitzpatrick has shortened from 50/1 in mid‑March to 16/1 – including a move from 25/1 since two strong showings on the PGA Tour – and has also been the most popular selection in terms of stakes during the final run‑in to Augusta.
Masters 2026 Outright Winner Odds:
Punters can bet on the 2026 Masters tournament winner at William Hill and here is the current state of the market:
- Scottie Scheffler – 5/1
- Rory McIlroy – 10/1
- Bryson DeChambeau – 10/1
- Jon Rahm – 11/1
- Ludvig Aberg – 14/1
- Xander Schauffele – 16/1
- Matt Fitzpatrick – 16/1
- Tommy Fleetwood – 22/1
- Justin Rose – 22/1
- Cameron Young – 22/1
- Bar – 30/1
Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “Matt Fitzpatrick has certainly caught the attention of punters in recent weeks following strong showings at Sawgrass and Innisbrook in March and we can declare him as our worst outcome should he conquer Augusta National in a week’s time.
“The 2022 US Open champion’s price has shortened all the way into 16/1 having previously been as high as 50/1 a few weeks ago. Behind Fitzpatrick, Robert MacIntyre (30/1), Justin Rose (22/1), Cameron Young (22/1) and Tommy Fleetwood (22/1) complete our top five liabilities, confirming the usual pattern of heavy UK interest.
“Bryson DeChambeau (10/1) and Patrick Reed (33/1) are among the LIV contingent attracting notable money as punters look for repeat Augusta performances and current form.
“World number one and two-time winner Scottie Scheffler was previously the clear number one in staking terms but interest has cooled, with punters increasingly siding with the cluster of in‑form challengers just behind him in the golf betting odds.
“The recent price action has largely followed a theme of Scheffler and Rory McIlroy drifting while their closest rivals shorten. Scheffler has eased from 7/2 last Monday to 5/1, while defending champion McIlroy has been a steady drifter from 7/1 to 10/1 over recent weeks.
“Meanwhile, DeChambeau is into joint‑second favourite at 10/1 alongside McIlroy having been 16/1 a fortnight ago.”
