Cambridge 4/5 to Strengthen Promotion Push as BTTS at 17/20 Headlines Tranmere Survival Scrap

Cambridge host Grimsby Town on Tuesday night looking for another three points to edge them closer to automatic promotion, whilst at the other end of the table, Tranmere Rovers need a win to ease a little relegation pressure.

William Hill News tipster @Footy_Tipster previews the action from the Abbey Stadium and Whaddon Road respectively.

Cambridge United v Grimsby Town prediction: Cambridge United To Win (4/5).

Cheltenham v Tranmere prediction: Both Teams To Score (17/20).

Cambridge United v Grimsby Town – Tuesday, 7.45pm

  • Cambridge – 4/5
  • Draw – 5/2
  • Grimsby – 3/1

This is a huge game on Tuesday night, Cambridge United have the chance to extend their lead in the automatic promotion places by four points with a victory, whilst Grimsby have the chance to move themselves up into the play-off spots if they can pick up three points here.

Cambridge have just three games left and playing both of those in front of their own fans will fill them with huge confidence of being promoted given they have the best home record in League Two, they’ve lost just one of their twenty-0ne home games so far (W14, D6), whilst they’ve conceded just thirteen goals. Grimsby have given themselves a real shot at finishing in the top seven having won five of their last seven outings (L2), including an impressive 4-1 victory away at Gillingham last weekend.

Cheltenham v Tranmere – Tuesday, 7.45pm

  • Cheltenham – 13/10
  • Draw – 23/10
  • Tranmere – 19/10

Any relegation fears that Cheltenham had have well and truly disappeared in recent weeks thanks to a three game winning streak which sees them move up to seventeenth on fifty-two points with just three games left to play. Tranmere are looking over their shoulder nervously, just one point separates them from the bottom two but you feel like a victory here would likely be enough to secure league football for next season, but without a win in their last twelve games (L10, D2), it’s a big ask.
