Southampton looked to had defied the odds against Manchester City in the FA Cup semi-final on Saturday with a goal in the 79th minute but all hope quickly disappeared after conceding two goals in the last ten minutes, putting an end to their twenty game unbeaten run but they return their focus to clinching an automatic promotion spot to the Premier League, victory here would see the Saints move up to fourth but just one point behind Ipswich in second.
A win here for Ipswich would all but confirm their place in the Premier League with a game to spare given their seventeen goal advantage to Millwall in third, they’ve won just once here in their last eight visits across all competitions, it’s worth noting that both teams have found the back of the net in eight of their last ten meetings, including the last four.
