Old Trafford will be rocking on Sunday afternoon when Manchester United welcome rivals Liverpool in the Premier League, with both sides looking to secure UEFA Champions League football.
Now, let’s take a closer look at some Premier League odds and Premier League betting angles for Sunday’s fixture:
Manchester United v Liverpool – Sunday, 3.30pm
View all available markets at William Hill.
- Manchester United made it consecutive victories in the Premier League on Monday night after beating Brentford 2-1, a win that means the Red Devils need just two more points to secure UEFA Champions League football for next season.
- Man United sit third in the Premier League and have a three point lead over rivals Liverpool, victory here would secure a league double over Liverpool for the first time since the 2015/2016 campaign following a 2-1 victory at Anfield back in October, punters can back United at 5/4 to win this feisty encounter with William Hill.
- Something that has improved drastically under Michael Carrick is United’s ability to find the back of the net, they’ve now scored in twenty-two successive Premier League games, their best such run of the post-Sir Alex Ferguson era.
——————————– - Liverpool continued their winning run in the Premier League last weekend with a 3-1 victory against Crystal Palace, it’s now three wins in a row in the league as Arne Slot looks to end the season strongly with a UEFA Champions League spot.
- The Reds have won three of their last six visits to Old Trafford but make the short journey on Sunday having won just one of their last twelve league matches against sides starting the day in the top three (D7, L4), they are priced at 9/5 to win this big fixture with the leading bookmaker.
- For a fixture that many believe has disappointed over recent years it sure does produce goals, with each of the last five battles between these two rivals producing at least three goals, i’m expecting that trend to continue here.
